I placed an online order for a custom vintage birthday cake for my daughters 21st birthday. I called the store on 3 different occasions, the day of pick up, to get a pick up time. The associate could not give me a definite answer, and gave me 3 different times to get there. Once I arrived, I had to call the store 5 times to let them know I was there, but they never answered the phone. On the 5th call (that was not answered) someone finally unlocked the door so I could come inside. I waited an additional 20 minutes inside the bakery before the cake was brought out and to much disappointment, was NOTHING like the picture I submitted when ordering. From the coloring to the piping to the design, the cake was just not what was expected. I left without a cake. I received a phone call later with an apology on the cake, however, I was also met numerous excuses. From medical emergencies, to cakes coming up missing, decorators not being there and running out of buttercream. I was told that the cake I ordered had Swiss buttercream, (they use American buttercream) therefore the color and piping would not be comparable to what I requested. At no point, during my email exchange to order the cake was that explained to me. I could have and would have requested a different cake, that they could have easily made, as I had them make a custom cake there last year (that decorator is no longer there). Read moreI would have given them a zero if possible. I filled out an online order on a Thursday with a requested pick up of Monday. I received an email from Sheryl that read the bakery would be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. No offer to pick up another day...nothing- just we’ll be closed. I called to follow up and Sheryl answered the phone. I explained that I’d received an email (4 hours before my phone call) with no clarification on when I could pick up my cake. She couldn’t figure out what I ordered and put me on hold twice. She then said that the owner Debbie wants me to fill out an online order form. I explained that the form was filled out and they had even answered with a copy of my online order in an email. She told me that she couldn’t find the order and would call me back - this was at 3:30pm. I hadn’t received a return call by 4:55 - I knew they were closing soon and called them. Sheryl answered again and said we’re booked Tuesday and Wednesday ... I asked her why she didn’t tell me that when I spoke to her earlier and there was just silence. Read moreI do not recommend this place to anyone or any Bride. I have been calling and emailing this place since April and it’s September. My mom and I both have reached out to them many times. I finally spoke to someone months later. I called and spoke to Debbie on Saturday she said my wedding date was available. Then I get an email two days later stating it’s not. On top of that when I spoke to her on Saturday she even set up an appointment for me this week to pay and for a tasting. If you are a bride to be please don’t waste your time they will just add more stress to your plate! I have left voicemails for months. Oh when I mention to them about my voicemails they say oh our voicemails go somewhere else. I haven’t received any of your voicemails. I do not recommend anyone to work with these people.
