Let me tell you the Story of how I met my husband. During the pandemic I needed to find a job fast. Sweet scoops was hiring. I applied, interviewed and was eventually hired.
First off, decent place to work. Great money. Fun atmosphere. Amazing ice cream.
While working one night I watched the cars line up like they always did. I swear that night they were to the stop light. (If you know, you know) With that, I noticed a bright orange car pull into line. The line moved slow that night and after about 30-40 minutes the orange car was in the drive. I had the privilege to serve them. It was a car full of guys. I have to admit, it was dark out so I couldnât tell you what they looked like that night but our interaction went like this. âHi, welcome to sweet scoops what can I get for you?â The guy in the back orders Superman, the passenger orders cookie dough and then the driver orders vanilla soft serve on a cone. I have to admit I was feeling funny that night so I snapped back âyou waited in line for 30+ minutes for vanilla soft serve when we have 60 something flavors?â He laughed and just asked for âextra vanillaâ with a wink. So I delivered. Little did I know he thought this was funniest thing hes ever heard. He was hooked. He came back every so often with and without his friends ordering the same exact thing. Every time. Vanilla soft serve on a cone. After about 2 months he came in one afternoon and switched from a cone to cup and asks âhow long till your number ends up on one of these cups?â I was mortified. He asked me in front of my manager and co workers. Embarrassed I told him laughing âkeep trying buddy.â I think the red cheeks were visible to all around me. I knew I had messed up by denying him. Iâd be lying if I said I wasnât interested. After that he didnât come back for what felt like weeks. I thought I had surely scared him off. Denying him in front of people. Making him feel silly for even asking. I really thought I had ruined my chance at true loveâŚuntil about 3 weeks later. My coworker comes in from outside telling me a car has requested me. She said âits the orange one.â Confused and curious, I didnât even make the connection till I walked outside and saw the orange charger. I walked up to the car smiling and he says âso you requested me, huh?â I think I rolled my eyes so hard I saw my brain. I responded to him âweâve been set up, I was told the same thingâ looking back now, I have her to thank for that night. As I took his and his friends order he said again to me âso do I get your number this time.â Knowing full well I was going to give it to him, I told him that weâd see. I put my number on his cup and sent him on his way. Itâs been 4 years now that weâve been together. Married for 2. He still has the orange charger and still has the cup that I gave him that night. Funny thing is tooâŚhe doesnât even like vanilla ice cream but didnât want me to forget who he was. Thank you sweet scoops. For giving me a job and for helping me...
Read moreMUST GO! BEST ICECREAM I ever had in my life and I am an ice cream snob. Whoever had their panties in bunch and ranked this lower than a five must have personal problems. While there were a few things that I wish were different, their icecream is out of this world.
I asked if I could order a sampler, which was not on the menu and they said they had it as an option. I wish I would have known they were putting it in a banana split container piled together because I wouldnât have got it with all the flavors mixing into each other. But all 5 flavors I got were amazing. Oreo cheesecake, health caramel crunch, cappuccino chocolate chip, butterfinger and coconut! Each one was amazing and I was just plain blown away. My husband got the moose tracks and Oreo cheesecake and raved about it the whole way home. He then proceeded to say â now I understand why the line is down the road.â
The price is also so reasonable, itâs refreshing in this insanely inflated market. For a 5 scoop sampler and 2 scoops in a cup, we paid $13.
Be prepared to be in a line on the side of the busy highway. And also be prepared for one of their employees to ask you what you want before you can see their menu. Look at my photos to see their menu!
My husband says make sure to bring a cooler so you can bring...
Read morePretty disappointed in this place. Have gone here for many years with my husband and son but will not be giving them our business anymore. They donât provide samples at the drive through window which I completely understand because a lot of the time they are busy and it holds up the drive through. A couple weeks ago we decided to go out for icecream. There was absolutely no one behind us in the drive through so I asked if I could try 1 flavor. I explained that I know they normally donât do that in the drive through but Iâm immune compromised as Iâm currently undergoing cancer treatments so I canât come in and be around the other customers. The young girl at the drive though said no. We ordered our icecream and I ended up not liking mine but thatâs besides the point. After she handed us the icecream and we paid she asked if what we gave her included the tip. My husband said no please give us our change. Before we drove away I explained that had she been more understandingâŚ. Especially since there was absolutely NO ONE behind us in the drive though, we would have given a pretty good tip. I told her to let the manager know about what happened. Not sure if she did or not. Definitely a...
