The Beaver Bar Ormond Beach — Restaurant in Florida

We saw the sign for $1 tacos so decided to give this place a try..... there were only 2 people working in the place. 1 bar tender and 1 server. (Who literally never came to our table, EVER) I ordered food at the bar since the waitress NEVER STOPPED AT OUR TABLE, but be prepared because THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH!!! I mean, this is 2019, everyone accepts cards. Literally, everyone..... The tacos were eally good... but not worth the wait (over an hour) and the waitress still, never once, stopped at our table.

Edit: Originally I gave this place a couple stars because the food was good, and i felt bad for the understaffed employees... but the owners response shows a true lack of professionalism. Yes, there is an ATM (with a huge fee attached to it) I was not trying to insult anyone with my review. I was giving an honest review from someone passing through, so the next family could be prepared. I thought i was very kind, all things considered. I do empathize with a sick server, and I'm thankful she wasn't serving food.... however, i was told a different story in the restaurant about why the server walked out 🤔 I will go to taco bell next time... don't worry about that. They also sell $1 tacos... and they sell them to you in a timely manner AND they except my debit card. 🤷‍♀️Best of...

Found this gem on line for a $7 all you could eat breakfast buffet. Sunday only Skeptical at first, we decided to check it out. Boy, are we Glad we did, WOW Excellent food, fella playing live music outside. A bar , but family friendly, several families there taking advantage of the value breakfast The food was as good or better than anywhere. The corned beef hash, and the Sausage gravy were fantastic. You name it they had it, pancakes, French toast, bacon, Sausage, eggs, grits..all fresh and always filled when close to being empty. Coffee included in the $7 Which brings me to Ms Ellen..this lady was on top of it, a whirling dervish, handling the buffer so timely and efficiently. What a hard worker, with a smile and polite, courteous. Moving in and out of the lines effortlessly, refilling hot trays. She was amazing. And David helped keep the coffee urns filled, place clean! Quiet little bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Outside has old fashion wooden rockers tables and fire barrel when chilly. $2 long neck beers all the time. Food specials every night. 35 cent wings on Mondays. Burgers are great ,big and never frozen. Plenty of parking, wheel chair accessible. Sunday morning a great breakfast buffet all you can eat for $5. Proceeds go to a charity. Bands once in awhile outside, usually Sunday afternoon but other times too. Cash only but they do have a ATM. Very relaxing and laid back. Very much worth the trip. Some of the prices have gone up a little as everything else has due to our economy and political things I don't want to start an argument about, so will just say, it is a nice little bar, decent prices, good food, and great...
