I was very excited to finally try district deli. My excitement quickly went away as soon as I walked through the door. The atmosphere was drab and depressing. The decor was absolutely boring, it was dark and all we could her we're the children behind the counter. With the name "district deli," I expected to see fresh meat on display ready to be sliced. Attention to detail was definitely lacking. The sandwiches were also unfortunate. The Philly was definitely missing something. The Italian was without a doubt the most TERRIBLE sandwich ever! Why in the world would you put an olive spread and an Italian sub sandwich??? It ruined everything. I also asked for it to be toasted and all we got was toasted bread. The bread was warm and crispy while the ingredients were cold. Trash. If you want water it's free, yay. I ordered a water and was given a cup to get it from the sink. I'm sorry what!?! Freaking disgusting. I hated that the only side options were crappy chips and cole slaw. No thanks. Needless to say we will never visit again. Not worth the $30 we spent. Best of luck.

Cute little place! Stopped in for a quick bite and pleasantly surprised! Had the Bacon, Egg & Avocado Toast which was very good. (I thought it was going to be a cooked egg but it arrived as a sliced hard-boiled one; this was my mistake and the dish was still excellent!) Also ordered the Fritelles which were delicious (I think there were six of them) and I opted for the strawberry jam; they were small but tasty! BF ordered the Bacon Turkey Avocado Croissant and said it was also tasty. (Both dishes were a la carte but you can add a side if you would like.)

We decided to give this place a try and unfortunately it was TERRIBLE. We ordered the Roast Beef & Gravy over rice. The roast beef was a big string of meat, with barely any gravy and extremely salty. The bread was dried up and stale. Since we were dining in, it was odd to receive our side salads in to-go containers. Our entree came out on a plates as it should. I would recommend they stick with the sandwich’s etc as it seems from the other reviews that might be best as comfort food is not up to par.

FOOD POISON- I have always been a huge fan of Taco Towns in Fort Walton, Mary Esther, and Milton. My significant other and I decided to make a special trip to the Strawberry Farm in Baker and saw this Taco Town close to our destination. I was all too excited that we absolutely had to eat there when we were done picking !!! We did and let me say the food tasted great, actually. I was so proud, until an hour later on our way back to our Mary Esther home. He was sick for 24 hours and I was sick for 48 hours. We were violently ill and the end of the second day, I was puking so badly I almost took a trip to the hospital because I had continued to worsen and was severely dehydrated! This morning I was able to keep toast down. I wouldn't let this Taco Town defame the franchise name but DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! They need a health inspector. There was a policeman and a family with young children there that day, please God, I hope they were not violently ill...

I really wanted to like this place, but our food was not good. We placed a takeout order. The bread for the subs was either toasted or stale, but it all felt apart and was hard and dry. Basically a bread sandwich, a few pieces of meat and a slice of cheese. They forgot to put tomatoes on the subs, and they lacked flavor, just bland. We ate half and threw the rest away.. The worst part is that me and my family member had stomach issues later that night into the next day, and the subs were the only thing we ate!

I read some really great reviews and was really looking forward to trying the food. So, I don't know if whoever made the subs was having a bad day, or something has changed. I never write reviews unless something is really great or really bad. Our experience was awful, to say the least. Won't...
