I had the grilled chicken salad and it was fantastic. It was not huge. Itās a bit on the smaller side but the amount of chicken was the same as you would receive if you went to a place with a huge salad. The ranch dressing, his fantastic. Neither one of us needed to add Salter pepper to anything. Everything was already seasoned Well. The salad I believe was $7.50 and the country fried steak with three sides and a choice of bread and tea was only $10.25 a little cheaper than that if you choose water instead of tea. Next time Iām going to try the battered onion rings I forgot to order them in the beginning for An appetizer, so I will try them next time Iām traveling through that area. I also had an order of fries and they were fantastic there my favorite kind, extra crispy, and a little seasoned, and have that kind of battered crunchiness to them. They are similar to the red elephants Fries in Dothan , AL. This is a nice little cozy country cooking place that Is very well priced. The portions are Not huge I usually end up with it take home box, but I didnāt here and that is fine. If someone were to need a larger Quantity of food it would be really easy to add some delicious sides and make it a larger meal. Oh, and next time Iām going to try the country fried steak because they actually serve Green beans here that are not from a can! Also, I was told at the country fried steak was delicious and the fried okra was the best awesome,...

Extremely relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is welcoming and evident as soon as you walk in the door. The locals all know the wait staff and each other and interact which is nice to see in trying times.
The main fair here is seafood and they know what they are doing and do it well. I had the fried seafood dinner, which is always a gamble based on many factors, oil temperature, oil cleanliness, and over doneness. Fortu ately for me I had NONE of these issues, which is rare. All of the four different types of seafood on my plate were cook to perfection and seasoned nicely. The oil was obviously clean and the temperature was correct because I didn't get any soggy items and no mixing of other flavors from the oil.
My wife had the surf and turf and more frequently than not one or the other is not good. My wife's NY strip was seasoned well and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Her fish, Mahi Mahi, was properly seasoned and cooked as well.
I will definitely go back and refer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIncredibly slow, took almost an hour if not an hour to get our food. Some tables even left from the wait, they had plenty of servers so that wasn't the problem. No one acted like they wanted to be there, servers placing things on the table then just walking off each with a sour look on their faces. Placed a salad with no fork, walked off, then just came back with a fork not saying a word. They gave another table the wrong bill, never gave our table a bill at all. We had to ask what we owed and they couldn't find a ticket for it. The food was just okay, nothing special, small amount of fries and an almost burnt burger with a squished bun. This used to be a family run business, not sure if it is anymore, but it's for sure gone downhill. Only reason it seems to have business would be it's the only place to go in Baker. Not great food, slow, unfriendly and full of mistakes.. been better off just driving...
