Ok how about the whole tip thing being outta control.
Its all over the news and now I must Share my horrible experience at Twisted Fork in Port Charlotte Florida.
Sug and I sit down at the bar to eat.
We place our order of drinks and food and everything was fine.
However this is where things get ugly. We sit and watch one of the 3 cocktail waitresses jump up on the sink where there are freshly washed drinking glasses. She jumped up there so she could reach the mini garage door to open up the place as they were getting ready for the outdoor live music band to play.
She did not only jump on the counter where there were freshly cleaned glasses. She then jumps to the center portion that separates sinks from one another and then over to another counter.
She did this acrobatics right in front of us. So I thought to self. She’s definitely gonna wipe down where she had stepped. Well I’m hoping.
Guess what wrong. She went on carrying on with serving patrons their drinks etc.
So I could not just sit there and watch this happen without saying something.
So I then explain to our bartender what I had just seen and I said that if I were a healthy inspector that I would close this place down immediately.
She looked at me puzzled even after I had went into great detail explaining to her what had just happened.
She then drums up this lie and says. Oh yes she’s in back looking for a towel to wipe the areas that she had stepped on off.
Meanwhile she had a towel in her back pocket like most bartenders do.
Well as soon as this bartender whom has zero concept that she should have never stepped up on the places where clean glasses etc are to be.
Note: How about invent a rod that can grab the push bar to release the mini garage door. Or even better yet. Put an electric garage door opener on it. Dammm people.
So now I’m watching our waitress run over to the culprit of dirty dishes to inform her about my conversation with her.
So now I get the stink eye from the dirty bartender.
So my moral of this story is. If u wanna eat off the bathroom floors and God only knows what else is on the bottom of her sneakers then this would be the place for you.
Oh and wait. Yes there’s more. Lmao.
At the bottom of my check to pay for bill.
They have skipped 15%, 18%, and now they start at 20% for their tipping.
How about they pay me for eating off their floors basically.
I wouldn’t go back to this place if they paid me to eat...
Read moreI went here with great expectations, having read several good reviews, but it just did not live up to the hype. Parking for cars was across the side street, so someone with problems walking would need to be prepared for a short hike to get to the entrance. The restaurant itself was interesting, resembling an open warehouse or industrial building with lots of motorcycling decor throughout. There was an extremely large outdoor covered area with plenty of space for social distancing for a huge crowd. The outdoor space was shaded and relatively cool even in July. We went inside where most of the customers were on this day. We ordered the meatloaf entree and the french dip au jus sandwich. (The menu explained that the french dip was not really a French invention.) On arrival, the sandwich looked like a hot dog bun with sliced beef and melted provolone, with a side of curly fries and a small dish of brown juice. The sandwich was flavorless and the au jus was also flavorless. This option would be great if you liked unseasoned sliced roast beef. The side of twisted fries was delicious, hot and perfectly seasoned. I might go back and order just the fries. The meatloaf was a huge portion piled over mashed potatoes, and covered with a honey-sriracha sauce. The meat loaf was very bland but the unusual sauce was spicy and sweet, not what you might expect on traditional meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were also well doused in the sauce. So if you liked the sauce, you would be happy, but if it was not your favorite, the entire entree would be a problem. My companion ate it all but really wanted a more traditional meatloaf. We had great service with a smile from our server Tyler, and from the hostess who seated us. I was hoping to find a fun new place with great homestyle food. The atmosphere was great but the food was not what we hoped for. However there were a number of other patrons who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Maybe we just picked the wrong dishes for our...

We had lunch at the Twisted Fork and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a vibrant and fun atmosphere that sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. The walls are adorned with unique relics and eclectic artwork that make for excellent conversational pieces while you enjoy your meal.
The food is fantastic! The burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection, just as ordered, and the sides are equally impressive. We had the French fries and tater tots – they were crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We also tried the honey-glazed chicken wings, which were substantial in size – no skimping here – and really good! To accompany the great food, Twisted Fork offers a wide array of drinks, beers, and unique sodas (Stubborn Soda), adding a delightful partner to the great food. To round out our meal, we enjoyed their key lime pie for dessert – and it was made with actual key limes! The pie had an authentic and vibrant flavor you could immediately taste and was the perfect way to finish a fantastic meal.
The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail—refilling drinks, clearing plates, and ensuring we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask.
