I lived in Chicago for 11 years (including downtown for 3 years) and my Wife is born and raised there and Lou Malnatis and Unos were both always the best pizza we'd ever had! I'm a Miami native and was searching for any authentic Chicago Deep Dish since moving back to South Florida. The reviews here were hit or miss but I was in the area and figured it was worth a try.
It was on point! This pizza was Just as good as the Chicago restaurant! Crust and sauce was great and warm. Could've been less onions though and i got a steak and cheese stromboli and a chicken and bacon stromboli and both were amazing! My Wife got the gluten sensitive pepperoni and loved it! I've seen some bad reviews but it seems those were mostly due to deliveries so I'd suggest picking it up in person.
Previous reviews helped me know where to go. This is not a restaurant, it's just pick up. You enter the Hilton hotel lobby and go left past the bar to the coffee shop/Starbucks stand. There will be a display saying pick up unos here. I did an online order so I just gave them my name and within 5 minutes they brought our pizzas and calzones out. There were plenty of chairs and tables to sit at. Suggestion bring your own drinks because the café/coffee shop drink prices were terrible. They need to hurry up and bring Lou Malnatis or a full Unos restaurant to Miami or Broward County ASAP! Let's start a petition! If you...
Read moreI have to put in a disclaimer: the pizza itself was 100% Uno's 🍕🤤🤯 It was worth all the shenanigans to get it.
First off, this is NOT a Pizzeria Uno's. You can't go sit there, it's literally just an official Uno's kitchen you can't see or interact with hidden in the bowels of an airport hotel lobby.
You can't sit in the veranda area or Tony Roma's (the full-service restaurant in the hotel lobby), bc they're not allowed to serve the Uno's food in those areas. We were actively shoo'ed away when we mentioned Uno's.
You have to check in at the Starbucks cafe for pickup, and then just wait for folks to run back and forth giving time estimates and updates.
If you are expecting a typical Uno's with seating, red brick, a bar and TVs you are likely going to feel cheated by the whole experience.
BUT if you just want that delicious deep dish pizza, it's still good! Custom delivery boxes, quality ingredients, all of it - the food was amazing but the entire Rube Goldberg-esque process to get the food you paid for online is bewildering.
And don't trust the location on Google Maps. Just go to the hotel entrance and the SBux Cafe for Uno's pickup is immediately on your left. The pin will have you wandering around their ballrooms in the attached...
Read moreI have been going to Uno's since the late 1980s. So trust me when I tell you. I am well aware of the uno's experience. Since moving to West Palm Beach, I have driven to Orlando, Melbourne and any place that I visit I go to an Uno's pizzeria when available. I read previous reviews but still had to give the benefit of the doubt. Sadly all the poor reviews are accurate. The individual pie is smaller than the typical Uno's pizza. Mine was handed over uncut, an available menu option but not one I selected. There was no cheese and the sauce was way off from the Uno's taste & consistency. I waited an additional 8mins while the SBucks attendant was away with no signage It was a watery sour mess. Please save yourself the aggravation, Palm Beach County has long deserved their own Uno's Pizzeria...
