If you're in the mood for a pizza that tantalizes your taste buds and leaves you dreaming of your next slice, look no further than V Pizza. I recently ordered two standout pies—the Piccante and the Carnivora—as well as a Caprese salad, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
Starting with the Piccante, this pizza was a vibrant explosion of flavors. The San Marzano tomato sauce served as a rich base, perfectly balanced and bursting with freshness. Topped with creamy mozzarella, the soppressata added a delightful spiciness that paired beautifully with the savory Italian sausage. A drizzle of Calabrian pepper oil brought an extra kick, while the Calabrian pepper paste offered a depth of flavor that was just addictive. Each bite was a perfect harmony of tangy, spicy, and savory notes.
Next up was the Carnivora, a meaty wonder that is sure to satisfy any carnivore's cravings. Again, the San Marzano tomato sauce shone through, but it was the amalgamation of pancetta, soppressata, and sausage that truly made this pizza a winner. The addition of red onion and fresh garlic elevated the flavor profile, creating a robust and hearty dish. Topped with fragrant fresh basil, each slice was a love letter to pizza lovers everywhere.
We also shared a Caprese salad, which was a refreshing accompaniment to our pizza feast. The ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella were drizzled with just the right amount of balsamic glaze, and the aromatic basil brought everything together beautifully. It was light yet packed with flavor, making it a perfect starter or side.
Throughout our meal, the service was exceptional—prompt, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff genuinely seemed passionate about their food, which only added to the overall enjoyment of the afternoon.
In summary, my experience at V Pizza was outstanding. Both pizzas were crafted with high-quality ingredients and a thoughtful approach to flavor. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for incredible pizza in a...
Read moreAs pizza places go this is a good one. Oven baked pizza is one of the best pizzas in my opinion. They actually imported the bricks and tiles from Italy for their ovens and yes they named them.
The ambiance of the place is Italian bistro meets sports bar. Nice Devore inside and loads of beer on tap.
There is an outdoor dining area available with picnic table style seating. This will no doubt be used once it starts to cool off from summer.
The food was mostly good to great. We ordered two pizzas: pizza alla di pollo and pizza margherita. We also order the oven roasted wings, a meatball sandwich, and caprese salad. The wings were fantastic. They come with a rub on them and a sweet onion glaze with caramelized onions. There was a sweetness with a nice kinda Smokey feel to them. The pizzas were fantastic as is to be expected with gourmet pizza. Thin crusted with a nice char from the oven. The salad is really large so be ready to share. Caprese is essentially mozzarella and tomato slices with a basil leaf and a balsamic drizzle. So imagine four of those the size of coasters all on top of a spring mix salad for two. Now for the gripe I have with the place. The meatball sandwich was flat on flavor. I it literally had no taste other than unseasoned beef. It was baked like a traditional meatball as the were no char marks making me think they were boiled. The also had a bit of a chewy texture again making me thing they were boiled. The sauce they came with was again flat on flavor. They were also very light with the sauce. Service was not the best here. At least for our waitress. She was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. However, we had to ask several times to have our drinks filled. The place was very slow so I’m unsure why we were not attended to very well. So would I go here again a very solid YES. But stick to the pizza...

I was hesitant to give it another try after having the most mediocre pizza of my 40+ years a few years back, but my kids wanted to give it a try. It was actually somehow even worse than I remembered. We were all incredibly hungry after the Green Cove Christmas Parade, and we all struggled to actually eat much.
Both our pizzas were somehow wet and floppy but also cold with burnt crusts? I'd say maybe they had been sitting for awhile before we got them, but they came to us more quickly than we were expecting. My wife says she's is fine with the roof of her mouth being torn up on occasion if the food is worth it, but this was not an example of that.
To top it all off, everything was overpriced. For the same price as a large pizza at Mellow Mushroom, you get maybe half the actual amount of pizza with less than half the flavor and temperature. Beers were significantly overpriced, also. It's admittedly a good selection of beers, but if I'm being completely honest, you can find the majority of even the more "unique" beers at Broudy's.
I can't speak to any of the other food. If you like wood-fired wings, maybe it's worth a try? They seemed overpriced too, though. A neighboring table had some sort of pasta dish brought out that we thought looked good... but after taking a single bite of it, the guy it was brought out to immediately got up and took it back.
I was set to give it 2-stars based purely on the atmosphere... it has a really nice area for the kiddos to run around and let off some steam, but even they never want to go back because of the pizza itself.
Ultimately I docked it down to 1-star for a small thing I witnessed on our way out: one of the employees actually had Domino's delivered. That should really tell you all you need to know...
