I was at the Wawa, located at 5820 Edgewater Dr at 2 AM on 11/1/22, and I had ordered a quesadilla at the counter. The lady made the quesadilla in front of me, placed it out of reach, and then just walked away to start making someone else's sandwich. I stood there--in plain view--with chips and other food in my hand (right in front of her) for almost 5 minutes and asked her if my order was ready. She then looked over at me and said, "Did you pay for it?" I was like, you should have at least told me that I have to walk all the way to the other side of the Wawa to pay and then walk all the way back to pick up my order. Apparently, people have been running out the front door after getting food. They need to solve that problem by having a register at the counter where the food is made so that people can pay there and not have to walk all the way to the other side of the building and then walk all the way back to get their food. There was another customer behind me and my food was already prepared. Having a register at the food counter would prevent people from just walking out the door and not paying for their food. After I complained and became assertive, she started giggling, offered no apology, and told me to have a nice day. I spoke with the manager and he was just as clueless as she was stupid. She could have easily asked for my ticket number and then let me know that the food was prepared and to please proceed to the register up front. However, she just walked away, put my order out of reach, saw me standing at the front and up close to the window after she had prepared my order, prepared another customer's sandwich, and got nasty when I became assertive as a paying customer. She acted as if she was doing me a favor by making me stand there for almost five minutes with no idea of how their process works when I am the paying customer. Just straight up poor customer service, and I am definitely escalating to their...
Read moreThis by far has been the worst experience ever. I visited this Wawa on a whim because I needed gas in a hurry.
While purchasing tobacco products the Manager Kendra asked for my ID, which she was supposed to do. Once back in Altamonte I realized that I May have left my ID on the counter of the store.
I called to the store and asked if it was there. Immediately Kendra, the manager on duty began to become defensive stating she doesn’t have my ID. She did not offer to look for it or give me a call if it was found all she did was argue and talk over me on the phone proclaiming that she hadn’t taken anyone’s ID. She did not treat me like a customer at all.
Our call got disconnected and because at this point I was frustrated I asked my husband to call back because he is an ex district manager in retail and could probably talk to them. This time another individual answered the phone and began to yell over my husband stating once again that no one has my ID. My husband could not get a word in over the yelling and then KENDRA the manager on duty hung up on my husband.
We called back 11 times and were hung up on 5 times before finally Kaitlyn stepped in and took control of the situation by giving us some answers and customer service. No one offered to call if they found my ID, asked to take my phone number in case it came up, or even cared.
Horrible customer service and unprofessional management. It’s a shame that management can treat the customers with such disdain.
WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN. My husband and I are public figures here in the area and we will spread the message to steer clear of this...
Read moreDrinks and food were great, but the customer service at the register was unacceptable. I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warrant one. I placed my order using the touchscreen tablet, collected my receipt, and walked to the self-checkout area to pay. Before I could start to scan my items, I was abruptly told, “I can take you over here,” by a staff member. While the tone was unnecessarily harsh, J assumed she was just stressed. It was Labor Day and the store was understandably busy. When I noticed the total seemed too high for what I ordered (3 drinks, 1 snack wrap, and 5 tenders), I politely voiced my concern. The employee initially seemed understanding but quickly became impatient and rude when she struggled to remove the extra items that someone else had added to the kiosk order before me. To make matters worse, as I was quietly talking to the person I came with, she snapped, “Are you going to let me finish speaking?”—even though no one was speaking to her at all at that moment. There was zero rudeness from us, but she treated customers as if they were a problem simply for asking questions or expecting basic courtesy. This behavior reflects poorly on the store. No customer should be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially when trying to clarify a mistake. The woman who made my drinks, however, was lovely, friendly and professional, even amid the holiday rush. The food and drink prep staff did a great job overall. The front-end service, unfortunately, left a lasting...
