White Room Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Florida

Visited on a Friday night and it was pretty empty for a Fri, returned on Wednesday and our party of 4 was 50 pct of the crowd. They didn't have beer on tap, just bottles/cans and an ok selection of liquor. I don't know how long they have been open but I live very close and had no idea they had reopened. At any rate they have pool, darts, jukebox, dancefloor, very spacious, but if they don't get some clientele they won't be open long. They have zero marketing as far as I can tell. They have started karaoke, bingo, bands, and DJ's on certain nights of the week. Not even sure how much the beers were but our check seemed cheap when we left. The bar staff Shauna and Kelly were very friendly and attentive. We didn't have any cocktails so I can't comment on that. As far as I know there's no food to buy whatsoever. I hope the owners are able to do well because there is really no night club feeling atmosphere anywhere in the area, but it needs improvement. Our group went for an event that was planned in advance with the new owners. THEY WERE NOT EVEN THERE! The only way we got in was that the VERY IMPERTINENT BAR "MANAGER" was there, and begrudgingly let us in, constantly reminding us how lucky we were that he was there. There is no more food, the drinks have gone from $2.50 to $7.50. THEY NOW WANT TO CHARGE YOU $50 to sit on the couches. We were sitting on them before 8, we were the ONLY patrons in the place... paying patrons... and the guy kicked us out of the couch area... THE BAR WAS EMPTY AND HE TOLD US WE COULD NOT SIT THERE. The band didn't show up and the bathroom was a mess. DO NOT GO! Refuse to be highjacked by GREEDY and UN-Accommodating business owners with surly employees!! The Bar Manager said they want to attract customers from Tampa... so the local folks apparently aren't good enough for them. He kept saying, well if there were more of you. BUDDY... our group may have been small that night, but between the two hostesses and their ten guests you lost as customers... you lost the 350 addition members of their combined groups. Downright FAIL! Is this place serious?? My husband and I live so close to this place and love to go out for drinks and play pool so we thought we'd try it out on a Saturday night. It was 9:45pm and NO one else was there and they didn't even have the registers up and running to start a tab yet (and they were open at 7pm?). We had one beer each and were on our first game of pool when we were told that they'd have to charge us a cover charge since they weren't prepared when we first walked in. No way was I going to pay a cover charge for some salsa DJ (not band) that didn't even show up with no atmosphere whatsoever. Unbelievably bad service and bad bar/lounge business model especially on a Saturday night. Absolute zero management and zero organization. It's an overpriced, wanna be club style lounge in the wrong location. Although, I don't know what the right location would be for such a mess of a business. I always give places 2, or even 3, different tries before writing a negative review because I realize you can hit some on bad days; but this was just that bad.
