Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Florida

Let me start off by saying that the food was delicious. Everything was hot/ warm and tasted incredible.

When we entered the restaurant, a female employee coming from outside welcomed us in. After assisting those in line before us, she took our order. She was very well mannered and respectful. Little did we know that this was the only serious and professional employee on shift. We came to find out that this worker was the manager on duty. She was having to instruct all of the employees on the simplest tasks. She even was having to run food outside to customers waiting. She never let it take the smile off her face though.

The other employees just behind the counter were talking over her and us as we were trying to order at guests in the dining area. The manager had to advise the employees to take their conversation to the side as it was rude to us. Then, we noticed that some of the employees were just standing around. Having worked in fast food before, I fully understand that food may not always be moving or needed. However, this was not the case. Even if it was, trash can be emptied and there is always something that can be cleaned.

Another customer was complaining that she had to reorder a sandwich three different times because it came out cold every time. The manager, still with a smile, assisted the customer and then went to the kitchen to assist those employees. She was being polite, professional, and still firm with all of the employees. This lady never missed a beat and showed that she wanted the best experience for every customer!

We never asked for her name, but whoever this is, Zaxby's needs to train their employees in her image. Had it not been for this manager and the food tasting as good as it did, we definitely would not be coming back.

On 4/7/23, late in the day, I went through the drive through of Zaxby's on Gibsonton Dr and ordered a 6 piece chicken finger meal with coleslaw and French fries as my side items. Once I arrived home and started eating my meal, I noticed they had left out my coleslaw. Not a big deal and I though I would just ask for it the next time I ate there because I was tired and going to bed after eating. Fast forward a week later and now I am at the same location, dining in, and ordering the 6 piece chicken finger meal again. I asked the lady taking my order if she could just throw in an extra coleslaw because they shorted me last time and she said no so I asked to talk to a manager. A lady identify as some type of assistant regional or divisional manager then came up and said very rudely "absolutely not and if I wanted extra I would have to pay for it and that I should have called the day it happened". I told her I did not think it was a big deal at the time and it was late in the day as we are only talking about a tiny tub of coleslaw that comes in the to go meals. Anyway, she throws one in and charges me for it at which time I made her take it out and refund my money as I would not pay again for something I had already paid for once and never received. Again, she was very rude and I told her that I would never eat at this restaurant again being treated so poorly over a $1.00 tub...

I went into the restaurant 15 minutes before closing time and I lost my glasses so I couldn't see and I walked there cause I was staying at the hotel and I have to use a walker to walk cause of my recient back surgery it was the farthest I had walked since I had it so there was 2 people ahead of me so I was talking to a couple of ur employees and then when my turn came I asked a few questions like what they would recommend and when I said ok I'm ready to order they said sorry it's 10:02pm and we close at 10pm i said u know ive been In here for like 20 mins talking to ur employees and asking questions about the menu i felt so disrespected i said u just let the person infront of me get food and now 5 mins later there saying they have no food left that the kitchen shuts down at 10pm not 10:02 so i was so mad they should serve everyone they let in the restaurant before 10pm and at 10pm lock the door but since I was there around 9:40pm and they saw i was disabled and saw i haf to walk there u figured that they would have atleast told me that I needed to order before 10pm or I can't place an order then I would have hurried but they never said anything they were helping me with what I wanted until I said ok I'm ready to order then that said sorry like I was just a nobody and I have told alot of my friends and family this so we will never go there...
