I just went in to get food at this location. A young gentleman saw me come in and he went towards the back of the restaurant. I waited for several minutes and no one was around. I heard no employees talking they were not monitoring the counter they were not monitoring the drive-thru I said excuse me no answer I said excuse me again no answer so I walked out. I could have walked in there and done whatever I wanted to for 3 and 1/2 to 4 minutes and no one would have even known I was in the store. This is what you get when you hire a bunch of kids who don't have any pride in the work that they do. I will definitely not ever go to this Del Taco again. I just realized what the problem was these kids that work here they don't want to take my order because they closed the inside of the store at 10:00pm and I came in at 9:50pm so they went to the back and they ignored me as a customer. I came out to write the review and a young gentleman with a headset walked up to the door and locked the inside of the door right after I exited the business. Whoever the manager is should retrain their employees how to properly run a store. If the hours of operation for indoor say that you're open till 10:00, you serve people until 10:00. I wouldn't even trust these employees to cook me...
Read moreI was in the driveway through line and talking to a friend of mine on the phone when the server came on the speaker to take my order. She was very friendly. My friend on the phone says, "Hey, are you at the Del Taco at the corner of Madison and Hazel?". I was amazed at his ability to identify fast food restaurants by the voice on the drive through speaker and wondered what that said about his life choices, but I said "yes" being surprised and amazed. He then told me a story not about his abilities but about how he was quite down and upset one day and went to this Del Taco to wait until his next job. He said that the server was so friendly and cheerful that just being her normal outgoing self helped him to feel much better, like it was great to be in a world where strangers did care about other people besides themselves. Anyway, that was the same lady on the speaker with me in the drive through and my day was encouraged too.
We often don't know the positive impact we can have on others just with a great attitude and friendly words. I wish I had caught her name, but thank you for the impact you make. And way to go Del Taco for noticing a valuable employee and hiring the right person needed at...
Read moreDo you have food allergies or food intolerance? Great news: they're going to include it! Especially if you or whoever is getting your food is using the drive-thru. You can have an exchange up to 6 times, back and forth, correcting them to not include it or the reason why, and it's still going to be there. And allegedly, everyone with a headset can hear you, or if they play it out loud, and it still ends up on your food. Not a single person stops and goes, "Hey, if this is for that order? We're not supposed to put that on it." No, it's just going to be there. Once or twice, that's one thing; not visiting frequently, and it happens every time? It's not that I dislike what I'm not asking for: I can't have it. It's not an option: I can't have it. And it's not just limited to me and my allergies and intolerances. The amount of tolerance people who visit Del Taco more frequently than me have for this location alone. You're getting what's on the menu, what's on the item. Forget any dietary restrictions you may have. The items are supposed to be made a specific way, and they know what's better for you, or they just don't...
