TLDR Pros: Great custard, food tastes freshly cooked, friendly staff Cons: Extremely salty food, unknowledgeable staff, immature staff
This was our first time trying any Freddy's and most of the reviews are spot on. The staff was very very friendly; however, they were all young, seemingly irresponsible people. They also seemed like there was no synergy - everyone kind of doing their own thing. Plus, they were all chit-chatting with each other as well as non-employees that were just hanging around. The girl taking our order didn't seem to know the menu as we ordered it. She tried to explain / suggest things but she was suggesting the things we were ordering lol (as named on the menu). She asked if we wanted a custard and we explained we would order it later so it wouldn't melt. She said we could put it on hold - then it came out 1 minute later (they remade us one later when we explained the hold). We ordered 2 burgers and cheese curds. 1 completely wrong burger came to us - they brought out a fresh correct one shortly after. Now here's the kicker: all the food was EXTREMELY salty. Everything. The cheese curds were not overly greasy and I would have genuinely loved them - had they not been salty. The burgers didn't really have great flavor, but maybe the salt was just ruining them. Everything did taste freshly cooked, but again, the salt just overpowered everything. We ordered a brownie sundae custard and that was delicious! Top notch. We will be back strictly for this.
If any management sees this: the staff is very immature and needs to be trained on how to conduct proper business. Yes, it's just fast food, but it was still very unprofessional. The salt needs to be very dialed back as well. A brand new location should be functioning much better than this. I would love to give it...
Read moreOn the evening of May 30th, I placed an order through the Freddy's mobile app. When I came to pick up my order, the associate said there was nothing for me under my name.
I gave her my name, showed my receipt via the mobile app, and provided the order number. She asked if I sent it to the right location, even though the store address was clearly visible at the top of the order. I was at the right location. I asked her, "I'm at the right place, can you look up the order with any of the information I provided?" To which she replied, "You just need to call Doordash." Um, hello? It's a mobile order I placed through your employer's direct app for myself. Obviously, she did not care enough to pay attention to what I had said.
She was very rude and did not offer any solution.
A male associate, who I am assuming was a manager or shift leader, then came to the front to see what the issue was. He said he could do nothing with the order number or to help me. I asked, "What is the solution then? My receipt shows my order, can you just make it or can you refund me?" He told me he can't do either, and I needed to wait and see if it would come in. My order was placed at 7:58 pm, and I drove from 3 towns over, arriving at 8:45 pm to pick up. How much longer should it take? Poor customer service. Poor management. No solutions offered. They just wasted my time and did not refund me or make my items. Meanwhile, on the next register over, my order receipt was sitting at the terminal, just neglected by the staff, LOL. such a joke of an...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a reliable and stable job look somewhere else, I got fired with no reason! I was never given a break when I asked for a break the supervisor would get upset and it seems there’s a lot of favoritism in the workplace because some employees would get treated better than others, I also notice that manger would fire anyone without hesitation. When I got fired I was already clocked in to work, I didn’t receive no call or text and 5 gives after manger said I was terminated and I was supposed to receive my pay same time same day. And I was supposed to get paid 2 hours for showing up and $100 a day Penalty if they fail to pay me I had to wait two days to get paid. When I fired came to apply the manger gave me a hard time when I applied he was really rude I remember one time a homeless guy came to apply and when he came into the kitchen he told the supervisor do not hire him and he was laughing at him. Discrimination!!! After I was hired an all the employees came to do the training I was yelled by the manager just because I brought brown non slip boots and supposedly I was supposed to bring black non slip and oil resistant shoes. I was tried to avoid talking the management due to this as well as bullying because for every little thing I did all the other employees would laugh and it was upset me but I knew I couldn’t do anything and if I complain HR would fire me as well. So this is why I say to apply somewhere else but I bet every where else is the same but here they give you no...
