Las Playas Restaurant — Restaurant in Fontana

The first time my aunt and i went we got the breakfast. The pancakes were delicious i give them that. So we went again for lunch. It took 20 minutes to get a small plate of salad and there was only 3 other guest there and two waiters that came out of a bag has no cheese no crutons that has maybe a a teaspoon of dressing. My aunt even accidently spilled some of her water we had no napkins to clean it and when the waiter finally came with our salads she gave us the wrong salads and on top of that the put the plate of salad on top of the water instead of offering to wipe it up or even give us napkins to. My aunt had to use newspapers from the floor. The waiter never came to check on us she didnt take our plates of salad that we were finished with.. The when we recieved our lunch my aunts carnitas was so dry and black. I picked a piece up and it crumbled in my hands. There was maybe four pieces of shreded cheese on her taco. I got chicken and the chicken was a gray colored i got a couple pieces of shredded chease mind you. The chese shred is the size of a pea. And when i toke a bite of my chicken it tasted like plastic and rubber. I should not have even ate it due to the color of the chicken. Our shells were fried terribly that as soon as you picked it up all the meet fell out. Then we had to go and grabb napkins from another table where two gentlemen had left from and we had to grab theor hot sauce salt and pepper. The men had already left. The first time me and my family went we were attended really good by Brenda and Erika. Yesterday was our second time going it was horrible ! None of the waitresses took us to a table so we sat OURSELVES. We were attended by Veronica first and then by Daisy. They took forever giving us the menu and after that we ordered Veronica took our food and not once did she go and ask us if we needed anything instead she kept asking the two men across from our table. She was consistently asking the two men every 5 minutes or less. But when we asked Veronica for a cup of ice and green salsa she NEVER brought anyhing but she did take the two men two extra cups of agua fresca. So we asked the shortest lady if she can bring it to us and she did. When Veronica was leaving she went with the two men and tell them if she can charge them because she was leaving already. They said yeah so she charged them and kept making a conversation in my opinion to get tips from them since they were already kind of drunk ! They did tip her after she was all touching the guy on his shoulder and smiling with him. (Who does that at a family restaurant?) The other waitresses that were there during the time we went kept passing by us like if we were not even there. So my dad went to tell the person in charge that none of the waitresses were attending us only to the other people. And it seemed like he did tell them something. But who knows with how many other families...

Las playas is a place you need to go, it's all that and a bag of chips. I went in on a Thursday. The server was very polite and attentive. They started us off with freshly made tostada chips crisped to perfection, with some zesty salsa. Ooh! Don't get me started on the frijoles, let me just say they're not your basic frijoles. I ordered a fresh 7 mares I had been craving for awhile. I was a little disappointed when the server brought me my order, It was $25 and the portion was small, I wish it would've been a bigger portion. The people I went with ordered camarones rancheros, mojarra frita, a burger and fries. The camarones rancheros and the mojarra frita seemed like abundant portions. The burger and fries were delicious as well but slightly pricey for a burger $10 if I'm not mistaken. But overall the food is really good.
