Star Crab — Restaurant in Fontana

Each visit has been a great experience. Came with my wife and her baby sister the first time. She had a great first ever boil! Spice was good. Got a milder spice for the kid and a side of the hottest spice level to add to our own individual pieces. Celebrated my mother's birthday recently, and she wanted to try a boil for her first time as well. Had a party of 7 that time. Seated fairly quickly. Ordered the most expensive family bucket with an extra order of the basic bucket doubled up on the shrimp instead of the muscles. Made the smaller bag spicier than the larger bag. Mixed them together to make a bag with the perfect spice level.

Wait, the staff was great. Made my mom feel special on her day. Nothing out of the ordinary, just great service. The cup was full the whole time. Kept checking up on us, cracked a joke or two when the convo landed on her. I'm sorry this was a month or two ago, so I can't remember her name off the top of my head. My husband and I decide to dash in here for a quick meal after passing it several times right in our neighborhood. Well... the place was very clean, not very busy which was good for us. The servers were very nice even the ones not assigned to our table. Now on to the main event. We have been to several of the crab spots that are popping up but to ME this one was very over priced. We ordered the calamari thinking it was fresh it wasnt... it was frozen calamari like what u buy in a bag at Walmart. The chicken tenders were poorly sliced so thin I thought it was lunch meat... also frozen not fresh, for the price extremely disappointed. The bag of seafood was just okay, the space didn't have much flavor resulting in the seafood not having much flavor. The shrimp were a nice size but the white rice seemed a little to sticky, like a little old sticky. This was a very fun, delish and exciting experience! You can look at the menu, and when the waiter ( which there was one in particular who was very pretty and kind) comes around, you can order immediately and they will work on it quickly! You can choose between soft drinks or alcohol. You can have a fry or seafood basket ( if you want fries you can add it) me and my father got the fried shrimp with fries, and the shrimp didn’t have as much breading as they normally do, so it was DELISH! I also got plain white rice. Was very good! And when you order your seafood, I recommend the snow crab or king crab. You can add any sauces, and you can even add a kick of spice! I chose snow crab with garlic butter with sausage. The crab is cooked, then added into your sauce of choice, and when they give it to you, put on the gloves and bib they provide you with and DIG IN!
