At 9:58 I was told “.we are closed” after watching a customer being served only ONE MINUTE before I pulled around and immed responded with “even though it’s 9:58?” To which n I wasn’t even answered or acknowledged much less apologized as any decent customer service representative should, and during covid so no other open lace for takeout or even groceries within 20 miles besides one gas station across town, whose name i was Hong is Speedway, but they don’t offer any of their heated food selections since covid restrictions in place and so it’s either cold/nonperishables from a gas station five miles away or nothing and if I’d ordered door dash I may have made the cutoff but in these precarious times I tried to save money as my daily is in a limited income situation because of covid and so despite driving in a manner that fell just short of exceeedong speed limit or running stop signs/lights, I am punished because a lazy employee or manager decided to cut out minutes before closing time and having a long background in food service, I find it unacceptable, especially from a “fast food” chain who claims to be supporting all practices to safeguard as much as possible against Covid, but (forgive my OVD or seemingly overreacting yet undeniably truthful) because the staff at LFC couldn’t wait two minutes before discontinuing service in a locale wirh so few options, my family’s dinner options limited to what we can scrounge at home or I have to drive across town and make do with gas station food, as well as be forced to mingle with a crowd that lately seems to think 6’ distancing and masks are a mere suggestion and therefor increasingly rare and even if all are masked, I have a door, cc machine and any customers inside as well as germs on the entrance handle and any interior handles that are disinfected only once a day after 2am (I know speedway & its practices well as ONLY 24 option in a 20+ mile radius) —— I KNOW IT SEEMS PETTY but the potential increase of covid carriers increased to a staggering degree when off closed its pick up window 2-3 minutes before its posted close omg time and not because they were “dead” as I watched them serve someone 5 min before closing time. They closed 2 minutes before and o wish someone in authority over the decider to that decision would read this and take a moment to think of not just my and my family of 5 (3 of which are high risk b/c of recent stroke, severe asthma and my own high risk from having Multiple Sclerosis but I make the call to put myself in potential harm’s way only cause I am OCD about being careful and personal hygiene as well as lowest risk among a home full of elderly and higher risk “breadwinners” but I would have settled for making Ramen noodles or stopped at Arby’s which WAS open still but as KFC was gauged by Waze as w/n ablility to arrive following traffic laws so I took risk as we LOVE KFC & go 2-4x/week! But trusting their advertised closing time & arriving minutes to spare, we have no Arby’s or equiv at all but wasted time & resources (& even more to complain here)as well as whether to take admittedly small but still existing risk to attempt gas station fare, best hope an old donut, MAYBE an eggsalad sandwich made yesterday but the surfaces all contaminated by hundreds of patrons all day w/potential known or unknown covid virus, so I sit struggling w/anxiety (agoraphobic) despite havin emotional support pup I’ve yet to certify.. & now I babble, a symptom of the quickly progressing multiple Sclerosis I was only diagnosed w/ 6 months ago before covid yet losing Medicaid from a small inheritance tipping myfamily over the allowed income meaning lapse in med care for both MS & Assoc mental repercussions-so my autoimmune disease has greatly advanced by every increase in stress &knowing I’ve nowhere to complain &less way to be heard & an impossibility esp by anyone able 2correct tonight making feelings... pup now barks as employees pass by w/own take out food as I waste 30 min though time is about all we have an abundance of but not unless spent alone, cut...
Read moreOn July 3rd 2023 I made a visit to this store unaware of them being racist and understaffed. I ordered the big box meal tenders almost $20. After waiting 30 mins for order so many orders after me were going out the window and the door itself. Everyone but my partner and I were white. The guy from the back finally comes to me and asked what my order was. I told him what it was 20 mins later he still brings wrong order a basic meal. I tell him and he gets upset and goes to act as if he's making my order right this time. Saw so many orders leave again so I asked for a refund. The old cracker in the back with the Confederate flag belt said we can't do that for the manager isn't here. I wouldn't take that for an answer I had to go this was reductions at this point. He goes to the back and brings me $8.17 in cash mind you the meal was $18.17. I state to the guy what is this damn you can't count either. So he goes to back and get correct change brings it to counter and throws it at me. my fellow black folk please stay away from this store for I am and will not eat at any KFC due to this situation and managers and corporation there is nothing you can say or do to change my mind and make me feel better for it it was not for my coworker that old cracker would've been...
Read moreAfter placing an online order, I waited what felt like forever because the service was extremely slow. When I finally received my food, I carried it out to my vehicle in the pouring rain. Before leaving, I checked the order and, of course, some of my food was missing. I went back inside (leaving the bag in the car since it was still pouring) and informed the staff that my wedges were missing. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, I was asked to show my bag, as if I was trying to steal extra food. The employees were rude and unorganized. I wasn’t the only one having issues either; multiple customers had to return to the counter due to incorrect orders, and even a DoorDash driver had been waiting over 20 minutes. By the time the situation was finally addressed, my food was cold. Y'all need better training or new management.
