I don’t like leaving bad reviews and we crave Jet runway food and their notable bread pudding. But we will never go again. We’ve been to this spot at least 4 times. This time we chose to order take out. We love the location being on a runway, but it lacks in customer service (hence why we ordered take out this time). In the two years we’ve visited. Let me preface this by saying it’s about an 25 min drive without traffi. But I’ll say every time the food hits 10/10 fabulous, But food doesn’t over ride bad customer service. The hosts are unpleasant. Every time we’ve been, never greeted with a warm welcome or even an hello more likely met with eye rolls and are quick to bark the wait time. You’ll wait at least 10mins to an 1hr. It feels as if the staff is overwhelmed, inconvenienced, over worked, maybe under staffed? 🤔 not sure what. It is a busy spot so maybe it’s a combo. But really No excuse. Customers shouldn’t feel that at all. Today we had it. We ordered 3 breakfast/brunch meals, 2 orders of bread pudding. We drive the 25 mins. I sit there for about 5 mins, you see the host not acknowledging any of us. The two people ahead of me waiting and I was not sure about the other lady. She was already waiting for something and seemed slightly irritated. Two staff seeming not too busy just looking at a tablet, the POS system chatting amongst each other and staring at the floor. Seemingly trying to ignore us but eventually acknowledging our existence. Mind you not a hello,?didn’t greet any of us asked them “how many?” Clearly a couple after church. Then he looks to me and just gives me a nod. Confused but I explain I placed a take out. He decided to seat them. He comes back to tell me they just ran out of bread pudding and that he refunded me. He disappeared again, he comes back with the food tells me to come pay. Confused, I guess he didn’t refund m? He states they don’t take online payment?! But didn’t he just say he refunded it? So whatever… he just a young man of little words and awkward but I was pleasant just went back to the car to grab payment. So long story short just communication is awful, every time! Staff demeanor is so unimpressive. The main point of driving all that way for the dish they are most notably known for and not to get a simple phone call or option for something else? It’s just bad customer service all around. Just ridiculous to spend that kinda money, no consideration for the customer? Instead they lost an easy $23.00. But now literally lost three customers by not placing a simple greet and a phone call. It lacks consideration and it’s consistent, We’ve always felt rushed and unappreciated. So to get a phone call? That would probably be the front of house host to have to do that and make that kinda call. So asking staff to think of the customer seems a stretch here. You should probably implement that. It’s just basics. But judging by the demeanor they would NEVER, too busy! We will not come back and I’ll stop recommending. I’ve sent at least 30-50 clients that way. But that plane ✈️ has...
Read moreA 45-minute wait.....which clearly...if a customer is willing to wait, then there must be a reason. Well, the memories of past visits, have been replaced with the most embarrassing display of mismanagement of people and of time. Upon being seated, our server, among the sea of servers, appeared to have 3-4 tables, with a minimum of guests per table. Upon being seated at 1:40, after waiting the stated wait time of 45 minutes, the waitress made her way over fairly quickly to greet and inquire about drink orders. After returning with the drinks, we didn't see our waitress again until 2:00. I said then..."Wow! I thought you forgot about us" She apologized, and responded that she was actually serving 4 other tables with at least 5 customers per table. At that time our order was taken and placed. A group of 7 women and an infant came in shortly after us, but were served their food and we were still waiting. I went to the counter to ask to speak to the manager. Upon returning from the Manager, the employee was instructed to ask"What was it regarding?" My reply...."Customer service". After approximately 5 minutes, the Manager, Daniel Brannon appeared. I explained what had occurred up to that point. His smug and extremely pretentious reply was. "I'll check" and walked away. At 2:20, our food was served, only to the utter disappointment in the presentation. The plating was completely and utterly embarrassing. After explaining to the employee about the food not being as ordered. ( My bacon and sausage were undercooked, my potatoes were cold, and the eggs were overdone. The usual bread that french toast is used here was substituted with regular toast. The lion share of the meal was taken back....along with my fork, leavinf the french toast....forcing me to stop another employee only to ask for a set of eating utensils. That employee is the single shinning star in this incredibly disappointing outing. Our waitress never bought any condiments, so I asked the same employee a d she happily went to get them. After another 15 minutes, the order was bought out again, the bacon and sausage, both visibly pink from being undercooked. Potatoes were fresh, but eggs were the same. Our waitress magically appeared to ask...."Do you need a box?" My retort, "Arr you kidding me???! I didn't even eat the food! She then disappears again, only to come passing by the table, never completely stopping, to relay to us"The manager is taking care of your ticket". Brian never came back out, our server never came back to our table and the entire experience was the absolute worst of the year. The lack of management and extremely poor clock management has resulted in a 2 hour display of utter chaos and mismanagement of time and resources. Strongly encourage the owner to investigate this incident, by reviewing all that occurred. Management and staff failed miserably in any attempt at a normal...
Read moreWhat a cool idea! A restaurant that basically sits on the runway of an executive airport! When we arrived, we were told it would be a 30 - 35 minute wait, and they took my hubby's cell phone number for notification of when our table was ready. About 35 minutes later, he got a text, phone call, and voicemail that our table was ready.
We were taken to a table in the corner of the restaurant with no view of the outside. That was a huge bummer since watching the planes take off, land, and all other activity was the draw of eating here. We were seated at table 5 (according to my receipt), so if you don't want to eat in a corner, ask to not be seated here.
There are no menus, but you scan the QR code on the card that's on the table. I ordered the Jet Sandwich which is two eggs any style (scrambled for me), bacon, and your choice of cheese (American please!) on a croissant (yes please!) or a bagel. It comes with a side of breakfast potatoes or grits. Hubby ordered the Full Tank which is pancakes or French toast, two eggs any style, bacon and sausage, and a side of breakfast potatoes or grits. The food took a bit of time come out, but the place was busy. When our meals did come out, they were hot and looked good! My sandwich was fantastic! It was a generous portion, too! The grits were great...my only complaint was there wasn't more of them! Hubby enjoyed his food as well.
Overall, this is a really cool place. The premise is definitely different, the food is good, the staff are friendly, and the place is clean. The parking lot can fill up fast, and be mindful of where you park, because there signs up indicating whether or not you can park in specific spaces. I will definitely be back, but I will hold out for a table with a good view...
