Caporella Park — Attraction in Tamarac

Updated: I absolutely love this place & take my kids every second I get ! Only thing us a lot of the parents myself included complain about the easy access to the lake and how there is no gate in case someone's child were to run off. The lake is extremely close & it won't take much of a sprint for a kid to reach the water. And with the gators in S. Florida (not to say I've seen any at the park) you just never know and would want to take the extra precaution. But it's still fairly new but hopefully more safety additions will come in the future along with better parking ! If you're not there early or are throwing an event you better get there before everyone else because spots are very limited !

I updated my rating because I still find that no gate around the lake is quite dangerous for kids. My son has autism and usually is drawn to water but we've made it pass that hurdle. However I've seen other parents chasing their children to grab them before getting to the water, also my son is learning to ride his scooter and I thought there was enough distance from the walking trail to the lake but he almost ended up going in if he had not jumped off and his scooter was literally 2 feet from the lake... that moment was very nerve wrecking even though I was close by.
