So, unfortunately I have nothing good to say. I think it would be appropriate for day Manager, Rebecca to read this review. My experience. I placed an order on Dennys website to go. I ordered before 11am. It's gives an option to pick the time you would like to pick up. I choose 11:30am. My order was two crepes, scrambled eggs, plain hash browns, and two pieces of bacon. My co-worker wanted chicken fingers and fries. The total with an undeserved tip was around $30. When I arrived , there was one person at the counter ahead of me waiting for take out. Manager Rebecca walked up, asked the other person and then myself what we were there for. Then people from the dining room started coming up to pay and more people walked in to be seated. Manager Rebecca helped every single person that walked up after me and let myself and the other to go person stand there and wait for all of this. At one point, i looked in the back and could see my food sitting on the counter with no lid getting cold while I stood there ignored. At one point she did yell across the restaurant to a server for help. The server threw her arms in the air and walked to the back. Wow. Finally I said something to Manager Rebecca. I said "my lunch is over at 12. I can see my food sitting there getting cold. I would like to have time to eat it." And her response was " well as long as you keep making a problem, the longer is going to take." Then she proceeded to walk to the back right past my food and still made me wait another couple of minutes. That was clearly on purpose. I did not get handed my food until 11:50. Zero apology. No offer to comp my next meal which is pretty standard in this situation. Nothing. That gave me 10 minutes to get back to work. And zero time for me and my co-worker to eat. The food was cold when it was handed to me thanks to Rebecca's terrible management and customer service. Customer service. Something that seems a thing of the past. A person's experience starts from the moment they walk in the door and ends when they walk out. It starts will the hostess or person seating them. If that person gives an attitude or makes the people feel unwanted or ignored, then they are of the a bad start. Then it's the servers turn. If the people have already started their experience badly, it's the servers responsibly to make it better. Politeness, punctuality, bringing drinks and talking orders quickly. Efficiency and time management. All with a smile. I actually go to this dennys quite a bit. I've sat there and listened to servers talking crap about others right next to my table. It's up to the kitchen to get the food right and out still hot in a timely manner. All these things decide the customers experience. If the kitchen gets it wrong, it's up to the server again to make it right. Finally they pay and leave. And either they had a good experience enough to come back or not. But it's the people who are there providing the service that decide what the experience will be. I started in the food service industry at 16. I did it for years. So I am speaking from experience. I've hosted a restaurant with a line down the sidewalk. You thought you were busy and stressed out the other day Manager Rebecca, you have no idea. And it is possible to do it all with a smile and respect for others. I don't feel that Manager Rebecca should be reprimanded but this could be a valuable teaching moment for her and the servers in customer service. I apologize for the length of this review. And sorry to say, I do not appreciate my time and money being wasted the way it was yesterday. And i like to actually eat food i pay for on my lunch break. My experience was very negative and I will not be back...
Read moreShowed up for breakfast on Christmas morning around 9. Parking lot was extremely full, ok, not expecting the best service. Waited at the table for probably 10 minutes before waitress shows up. Ok we expected that. She takes out orders. This is a table of three. I order water with lemon, my sister orders coffee, husband gets milk. We also put in our order for breakfast. In a slow turn around we get our drinks, coffee in a to go cup, no cream on the table or with the coffee, no lemon in the water. We ask for these things, she walked past our table three times before the cream was delivered, I asked for lemon again, she walked past three more times before the lemon came. Three seemed to be her number. Food is finally ready. As she servers it my glass is happy empty my sister's coffee is running out, she looks at the coffee and offers a refill, yes. We didn't see her again until we were almost finished. No chance to ask for warm pancakes, no coffee refill, the eggs were served wrong. I ordered over medium with hash browns with onions, sis ordered over easy with hash browns no onions,I received over easy, and the onions were just sitting on top on the hash browns. She got over medium. Both plates had been sitting long enough that the heat lamp had started cooking them again. Pancakes were cold. When the waitress finally came back it was to deliver our check and ask if we needed anything else. Sis never did get her coffee refill, she had asked again. Our waitress was just standing next to the hostess stand. When we left there were a few people standing in line, empty tables everywhere. Gonna have to find another place for breakfast. I realize this was Christmas but we've eaten there before and I'm sorry to say we had the same...
Read moreWe were traveling home and found this location on Google. We liked the convenience of it being off I-95, so we stopped to eat. The interior is nicely decorated and welcoming upon entry. Unfortunately, the customer service, upkeep of the restaurant, and quality of food are severely lacking. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. There were maybe a handful of customers. We went to the host station to be seated. There were two employees to our left who were in conversation. They saw us but did not greet or even acknowledge us. We waited several minutes, and a third employee emerged from the back and seated us. His greeting lacked a smile or an apology for the wait. Once we were seated, it was several minutes before someone came to take our order. Our appetizer was served without sharing plates. Our drinks were never refilled. We were never asked how everything was, and the food was mediocre at best. Many employees were just standing around, and when they moved, it was as if they were in slow motion. To top it off, this restaurant is filthy. I snapped a couple of pictures of the stains on the booth walls. It was obvious the tables had been wiped down with a dirty rag. The salt and pepper shakers were covered in schmootz. There was also thick dust on all flat surfaces, and the floors were filthy as well. This location has potential, but the management needs to get a better handle on things and...
