Eckle's Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

This used to be a place my family & I visited frequently for their Oxtails. Today my daughter went in to get her own meal while on the phone with me. When she got back to the car see seen she had white rice & that’s not what she ordered or wanted. She proceeded to go back in and asked “is there any way she can get a side of rice & peas because she does not like the white rice.” She did not ask for her order to be replaced she was willing to pay for a side of rice. The woman that was working was VERY rude, told her she knows she ordered white rice & she is not replacing it. She went on for about 5 mins arguing over rice to a child. Saying she is not replacing it because she knows what she heard but clearly did not want to take an order for a side of rice we were paying for. Usually I don’t leave a negative reviews & the man that is usually working is always nice & accommodating but the way this woman was speaking to my child over rice they will not get $1 from us anymore! This is not how you treat loyal customers let alone a child. At no time was my daughter disrespectful to this woman when placing an order for her rice! My daughter even asked where the man was at because she was getting out of line and she told her she doesn’t need to speak to anyone but her. My Family loves Eckles and this is my first review on this restaurant since it open up. Tonight my family and I order one large oxtails and a small oxtail dinner, man When I got home and shared the food it disappointed me so, It was so salty and when I call to let them no, thats the way it cook, man you think its my first time eating oxtail, I said man you cant tell mi dat. When there today, the sign said Chicken special lunch 12-5PM medium 11.00 large 15 and I order a medium stew chicken and she trying to robber me of the price, so I told her you all false advertising lunch special she reach out of the window and rip it off the wall and gave me my money back. They also sell left over food, be burn up, and taste nasty, just like they reach to the bottom of the pot and give you the food from the bottom. That's why I have stopped going there.
