Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Fort Smith

Most awesomest experience, we pulled up to an empty spot and was greeted as we walked in. We proceeded to the service counter where immediately someone asked for our order, we were un-decisive, so the counter person, I think her name was Julie waited patiently. We finally requested a sample of their orange seubert, which instantly became my all time favorite. My girl ordered their rocky road with bananas and cream and a generous amount of coconut toppings. We then ordered the #5 cheese burger with fries, which we both shared, her eating the cheese part and me eating the rest. Immediately after finishing my meal I headed to the restroom, I found it in excellent order and absolutely clean with plenty of paper and hand soap for after doing my business. When we were ready to leave, my girl decided that we needed some groceries, and guess what, they have a grocery store inside the restaurant We found bacon, eggs, milk, cottage cheese, ketchup, bread...etc The check out was quick and friendly, we made it back to the car without incident, drove off and made it home in short order. I’m convinced most of the 5 star reviews are from people that haven’t gone here on a consistent basis or from years ago. I’ve tried to given this braums so many chances, I work right around the corner so it’s very convenient. However, at this point it’s become a joke at my work because of how many times I’ve sworn I wouldn’t go back and keep giving them a second chance. They constantly mess things up, leave items off burgers, I’ve gotten a chicken sandwich when I’ve ordered a burger and gotten a burger when I ordered a chicken sandwich, like ridiculous mistakes that should never happen, on a consistent basis. One of the things I don’t even expect them to do (because they just don’t do it when I ask 9/10 times) but, still ask for is to put the sandwich sauce on the side. As you can see they missed it yet again, however like I said I expected that. I didn’t expect the fries to be inedible and burger to be quite literally...

Braum's is the best place to enjoy ice cream and a fast food meal for a decent price. The ice cream is always on point and with so many choices, you can't go wrong. I enjoy the frozen yogurt waffle cone that they have a special on currently for $1. Their menu ranges from breakfast items, to burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads and they have a fresh market as well which I think sets them apart. While I haven't tried the breakfast, salad or chili, I have tried the chicken in the past and didn't care for it, so I stick with the burgers and fries. The crinkle fries are always fresh and good. Now the burgers - I have a love, hate thing with. I really guess it depends on who is cooking them. Some days, they are amazingly perfect with just the right amount of crispiness, while other times, it seems as if the burger could stand to be cooked a little longer and that the bread seems a little stale.
