Terrible service that doesn’t outweigh the goodness of the food. I don’t know if this was a one off but we had absolutely horrible service. The food was solid but not enough to overlook being ignored and walked past for 15 minutes before someone who wasn’t our server offered us drinks. There were 3 other tables when we came in at 5:20, 2 who were in middle of their meals and another who had already put in their order. Another 20 minutes and we finally see our server who takes our order with the only apology offered being that she thought someone else was going to take care of us while she was trying to figure something out on her computer. Our Savor deal did seem like a good deal with 2 small app samples, a large crab Rangoon pizza, 2 sides and 2 slices of cheesecake for $50 which left us with plenty of leftovers. They first tried bringing out the wrong app which was their sweet porky bowl (sweet potato fries loaded with pork) which we let them know so they took that and then put in a new order for our correct apps. The waitress made a point to bring over her notepad and make me read to her what we ordered, which was indeed not a sweet porky bowl (it was duck rangoons and buffalo wings so nothing close to that either). By the time we got our pizza with no sides, my extremely patient toddler was nearing the end of his patience (much more than I had). I asked for the sides and cheesecake to go at this point so we’d have any semblance of part of our evening not being spent here. Fun surprise when I got home that instead of the plain sweet potato fries I ordered for one of our sides, we instead got the cold porky bowl that we didn’t want nor ordered. Also despite our server writing “savor” on the top of our order, we were charged full price for our pizza, $9 for each slice of cheesecake and a $1 for the strawberry on one - which what?? Their own menu on the table had the single cheesecake slices at $5 and the savor menu noted the NY cheesecake would have a free fruit flavor included. They did not charge us for our apps which when we paid we figured they comped us for what happened but honestly we ended at about the same price because of it not being run up as the deal and we were extremely frustrated the whole time. Again, I’m hoping it’s not always like this but it was not busy and really there was no reason for so many things all piled on each other. We look past hiccups because stuff happens, but this was just too much for us.

Well....If you haven't been to ACME you are definitely missing out. Probably the best BBQ in Fort Wayne and I had more than a few. The first pic 8s the half gut buster and for the price you'll have two meals. The ribs were done to perfection and needed no sauce. Highly recommended. 7/7/25 - Went to ACME for lunch and had to try their Philly cheesesteak. Tender shaved ribeye with Cooper sharp cheese. Let's not forget the carmilized onions which were very sweet. I was hoping for a more crusty Italian or French baguette style roll which really would have set them apart as Philly cheesesteaks goes but all in all definitely worth the money for quality and taste. Had to have mac n cheese as a side with the sandwich and it really hit the spot. Great cheesy consistency and flavor for sure. Also decided on some ribs. Tender and flavorful as always and the blueberry/cherry bbq sauce was spot on. Highly recommend giving ACME a shot if you haven't already and give that cheesesteak a try and see if it meets your expectations.

TLDR: Delicious food in a vintage, local place. Great for catching up with friends FOOD The duck ragoon appetizer or something I didn't know I needed until then. It comes piping hot, and totally worth burning your mouth for --please be careful! The inside is molten goodness with small bits of duck. It comes with a sweet chili dipping sauce and the outside has a thick crunch. 🍕 For pizza, we ordered two 10-in regular crust pizzas to share. One was the Porky Pig and the other was the Bahn Mi. Porky Pig was our favorite of the two. The Bahn Mi did actually taste like the Vietnamese sandwich, but beware, there are little bits of jalapeno on it so there's a kick. The only issue was that the toppings on the pizzas had a hard time staying them as we had to tear the slices apart. The next day though, cold leftovet pizza out of the fridge though was superb.👌🏻 I also got a cup of soup: Irish Stew. I felt like it might have been under seasoned.

Never Again Will I go there!

This is actually a zero star review. I have had some horrible restaurant experiences, and this one is right up there at the top.

It wasn't very busy in there when we arrived at a quarter after 6 o'clock, and got seated right away. Alright off to a good start, but then the took a sharp dive from there.

First off we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, not alcoholic drinks by the way just a few pepsis and a chocolate milk. Then we were in for a marathon wait for our food. And let me tell you nothing will fill you full of impending dread like a hungry 6 year old waiting over an hour for his food. Yep, that's right we waited over an hour from the time I even started to notice the time until our food somewhat arrived at our table. I say "somewhat" arrived cause my chicken wings came but not the fries? My daughter's do called "gourmet" mac and cheese came minus her fries, my sons grilled cheese came with out his apple sauce that never showed up cause no one bothered to tell us they were out of apple sauce, and my wife's fish still missing in action. It took another 5 minutes for my wife to receive her fish, but then it took an additional 10 minutes for our fries to show up. Apparently fries are very technical, and require special attention to cook?

Now maybe you're thinking maybe the food was worth the insane wait time? Well unfortunately you would be wrong. First off the alleged gourmet mac and cheese was nothing more than a bowl of spiral noodles with some store bought cheese sauce poured on top. My mild wings were not only cold and extremely dry but either they put the wrong sauce on them, or they are the home of the worlds hottest mild wings? My son's grilled cheese was somehow burnt and also at the same time cold. And of you was wondering my wife's fish was cold and stale as well.

We all ate about a good five bites out of sheer starvation and then called it quits. The waiter knew we was not happy and after we explained our grievances to him said he would get the manager over to us to explain why we got treated so horribly. Well surprise surprise the manager also took a good 15 minutes to show up. She also had no explanation for why we got treated so badly. She basically acted like this was the status quo here and said she would give us a discount. At this point I just wanted to pay my bill and get on with my life. And you'll never guess but it took them forever and a day to ring up our bill.

I usually don't take the time to write scathing reviews like this and most of my reviews are really positive, but with great disservice comes great scathing reviews. They will not get another dime from me, and even if someone offered to take me there and pay for it I would talk them into going anywhere else as to not cost me two hours out of my...

Acme Bar and Grill is an absolute gem in Fort Wayne—a true local legend where great food, cold drinks, and welcoming vibes collide. If you’re from the area, you already know what I’m talking about. And if you’re not? Then this place needs to be on your bucket list, because Acme is the kind of spot you wish every city had.

Let’s start with the tenderloin sandwich. It’s not just good—it’s iconic. We’re talking about a crispy, golden-fried tenderloin that’s way bigger than the bun, in the best way possible. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served up hot, it’s a rite of passage for anyone eating here for the first time. People come from all over just to say they’ve had the Acme tenderloin—and once you do, you’ll completely understand why.

And the beer? Acme’s draft selection is solid, with a rotating mix of local brews, national favorites, and seasonal picks that keep things interesting every time you visit. Whether you’re into IPAs, lagers, or something light and refreshing, there’s always a cold pour waiting for you.

The vibe at Acme is what really seals the deal. The staff is top-notch—friendly, fast, and full of personality. You can tell they genuinely enjoy being there, and they go out of their way to make sure everyone’s having a good time. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name, your drink, and your favorite seat at the bar.

Whether you’re dropping in for a casual lunch, grabbing drinks after work, or kicking back on the weekend with friends, Acme delivers every single time. The atmosphere is laid-back but buzzing with energy, the food is consistently excellent, and the service feels like home.

Bottom line? Acme Bar and Grill is everything a great neighborhood bar should be—and then some. If you’re in Fort Wayne and looking for a place with a legendary tenderloin, a killer draft list, and some of the friendliest folks around, Acme is where...
