Never Again Will I go there!
This is actually a zero star review. I have had some horrible restaurant experiences, and this one is right up there at the top.
It wasn't very busy in there when we arrived at a quarter after 6 o'clock, and got seated right away. Alright off to a good start, but then the took a sharp dive from there.
First off we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, not alcoholic drinks by the way just a few pepsis and a chocolate milk. Then we were in for a marathon wait for our food. And let me tell you nothing will fill you full of impending dread like a hungry 6 year old waiting over an hour for his food. Yep, that's right we waited over an hour from the time I even started to notice the time until our food somewhat arrived at our table. I say "somewhat" arrived cause my chicken wings came but not the fries? My daughter's do called "gourmet" mac and cheese came minus her fries, my sons grilled cheese came with out his apple sauce that never showed up cause no one bothered to tell us they were out of apple sauce, and my wife's fish still missing in action. It took another 5 minutes for my wife to receive her fish, but then it took an additional 10 minutes for our fries to show up. Apparently fries are very technical, and require special attention to cook?
Now maybe you're thinking maybe the food was worth the insane wait time? Well unfortunately you would be wrong. First off the alleged gourmet mac and cheese was nothing more than a bowl of spiral noodles with some store bought cheese sauce poured on top. My mild wings were not only cold and extremely dry but either they put the wrong sauce on them, or they are the home of the worlds hottest mild wings? My son's grilled cheese was somehow burnt and also at the same time cold. And of you was wondering my wife's fish was cold and stale as well.
We all ate about a good five bites out of sheer starvation and then called it quits. The waiter knew we was not happy and after we explained our grievances to him said he would get the manager over to us to explain why we got treated so horribly. Well surprise surprise the manager also took a good 15 minutes to show up. She also had no explanation for why we got treated so badly. She basically acted like this was the status quo here and said she would give us a discount. At this point I just wanted to pay my bill and get on with my life. And you'll never guess but it took them forever and a day to ring up our bill.
I usually don't take the time to write scathing reviews like this and most of my reviews are really positive, but with great disservice comes great scathing reviews. They will not get another dime from me, and even if someone offered to take me there and pay for it I would talk them into going anywhere else as to not cost me two hours out of my...
Read moreTerrible service that doesn’t outweigh the goodness of the food. I don’t know if this was a one off but we had absolutely horrible service. The food was solid but not enough to overlook being ignored and walked past for 15 minutes before someone who wasn’t our server offered us drinks. There were 3 other tables when we came in at 5:20, 2 who were in middle of their meals and another who had already put in their order. Another 20 minutes and we finally see our server who takes our order with the only apology offered being that she thought someone else was going to take care of us while she was trying to figure something out on her computer. Our Savor deal did seem like a good deal with 2 small app samples, a large crab Rangoon pizza, 2 sides and 2 slices of cheesecake for $50 which left us with plenty of leftovers. They first tried bringing out the wrong app which was their sweet porky bowl (sweet potato fries loaded with pork) which we let them know so they took that and then put in a new order for our correct apps. The waitress made a point to bring over her notepad and make me read to her what we ordered, which was indeed not a sweet porky bowl (it was duck rangoons and buffalo wings so nothing close to that either). By the time we got our pizza with no sides, my extremely patient toddler was nearing the end of his patience (much more than I had). I asked for the sides and cheesecake to go at this point so we’d have any semblance of part of our evening not being spent here. Fun surprise when I got home that instead of the plain sweet potato fries I ordered for one of our sides, we instead got the cold porky bowl that we didn’t want nor ordered. Also despite our server writing “savor” on the top of our order, we were charged full price for our pizza, $9 for each slice of cheesecake and a $1 for the strawberry on one - which what?? Their own menu on the table had the single cheesecake slices at $5 and the savor menu noted the NY cheesecake would have a free fruit flavor included. They did not charge us for our apps which when we paid we figured they comped us for what happened but honestly we ended at about the same price because of it not being run up as the deal and we were extremely frustrated the whole time. Again, I’m hoping it’s not always like this but it was not busy and really there was no reason for so many things all piled on each other. We look past hiccups because stuff happens, but this was just too...
