China Buffet — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I genuinely do not know how this place has five stars saying it’s the best. It’s not the worst food in the world, but it’s also not the best. The selection of the food is very little. At least 1/2 of the food was cold every time. The salad bar is just lettuce.For the record, I gave this place a chance 3 times. Also, one of the times we went my husband and I grabbed two plates so we wouldn’t have to go back up immediately due having children with us and the server said we could only grab one plate and if we grabbed more than one, it would be an extra charge, which was the stupidest thing I ever heard. So me and my girlfriend decided to go out to a new Chinese Buffet and we saw this one. We got inside service was alright and then we get to the food and majority of the food was cold, some of it was rotten, and a few minutes pass by and my girlfriend starts to feel sick and then has to spit out some of her food and demanded that we leave, especially after we saw some kid coughing on the food, the chicken was cold and hard, the chow mein was very doughy and overall was just a horrible experience, I DO NOT recommend anyone eats here for their first or second Chinese buffet, the only good tasting thing they had there...

No idea how this place has a 4 star rating. Food is mediocre at best. Lo mein is horrible. Potatoes are cold. Batter dipped chicken tastes like batter. They used to at least ask me if they could bring some won tons out for the won ton soup, but they don't do that anymore. Years ago they had ice cream, which might have been their one redeeming thing. Truth is I don't even know why I eat here anymore. I guess it's simply the place I go when I have business at Southgate and want a quick bite.
