Me and my husband decided to finally try this place out as we have heard from many people that it was good. We have another place that is usually our spot for Mexican food but wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We went for a lunch on a Monday around 1130 and we were one of the only people in there. Got seated right away, hostess was never nice and our server was at our table rather quickly. We ordered the table side Guac. I'm a Guac Snob and man when I tell you it was good it was GOOD! It was a creamier texture (which I prefer but like it either way) and the flavor was amazing. Even tho it had all the same stuff Guac usually does. What I absolutely liked about it was the person making the tableside Guac set a small spoonful in a dish and asked us to try it to see if it was to our liking and if we needed anything extra added. It was perfect! Chips and salsa were very on point. We both got the lunch El Ranchero Burritos (chorizo, queso, beans and egg) with rice and let me tell you and this Chorizo!! I've had a lot of chorizo and this has to be homemade at the restaurant bc it was so incredibly flavorful I couldn't get enough of it. Best Chorizo I've had yet. So, do yourself a favor and go and try this place if you haven't. Let's make sure we keep this place in business bc they definitely know what they're doing in the kitchen!!

Having lived in California, Mexican Restaurants here havent even been close to the ones I have eaten at in CA, but this place really is diff than the other chains around town that are average at best to me. Loved this place! Was def impressed when our food came. Ricardo chatted with us for a bit and was super friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. This is our new fav spot for Mexican food! I hope they never change a thing because it was great! We had chimichanga, empanadas, queso, the wet burrito and fried ice cream! I was on the fence about trying it bc all the fried ice cream in town is “ick” but their fried ice cream is hands down one of the best Ive had! Uniquely made as they make their own coating and it was just perfect.

This place is well worth a visit and is going to be a regular stop for us! The service was great. Our server was very on top of it, informative and personable. Food was delicious. Drinks were very yummy Strawberry margarita! and I love the artwork and wall paintings. This is an independent Mexican restaurant not related to any of the Cebollas that have taken over Fort Wayne. Their menu is very different and provides a delightful selection. I had the chicken chimichanga and the hubs had Ribeye ala Mexicana, both dishes were very tasty. Fresh made guacamole and chips and salsa were a nice start to a great meal. We highly recommend you give them a try.

I Came here for my birthday with 6 others. The bartender was very unfriendly and rude. we asked for a couple of TRADITIONAL MEXICAN TACOS, Tripas and lengua, Was told by the bartender that The restaurant is Mexican but "NOT THAT MEXICAN" The el pastor tacos were so dry they could barely be swallowed, the shrimp tacos were covered in a sweet sauce that wasn't flavorful, the "street chorizo" tacos were literally just chorizo on a tortilla. The Quesa Birria tacos were just average and the only thing that was decent was the molcajete. We spent well over 200$ here and to say the least the service was poor, and so was the food. What a sad experience for a new restaurant. A lot of these things could have been easily rectified if the service wasn't so basic and poor. There is a lot of work to be done here and although I'm no expert,if this type of food and service continues this place will not last. Also if you smoke, although there isn't a sign up my company was chastised by the hostess for being outside the door. Not in front of the door not next to the door but down by the emergency exit door, that came with an eye roll and a shake...

Don't eat here. Food portions were tiny for the price. The food didn't taste right. Tasted like the rice or beans or maybe both were bad. My enchiladas were OK but not desirable by any means. Worst part was the servers laziness. My utensils and my sister's were dirty having chunks of food on them still. I asked for clean utensils and he said he'll get them. Enough time goes by so I grab some from another table. Those were dirty too. Finally I ask him again if he could get me some clean utensils and he said yeah it'll be a minute they're cleaning the ones I had first. Finally more time has passed and he pulls another from the table next to us like I did before. Those were dirty as well. I didn't want to make a scene because i was there for my grandmothers birthday, so I just rubbed off the bits of food on the third set and ate. This was probably my worst experience in a restaurant from the quality of the food, to the portion:price ratio, and the lazy server who couldn't take 30 seconds to scrub clean a fork, spoon, and knife and just handed me another dirty set...
