I have celiac disease, so avoiding gluten isn't a fad or lifestyle choice I've made. Even worse, my immune system responds to gluten two or three times as severely as most people with my condition, so I am VERY diligent about what I eat. I have not eaten out since shortly after being diagnosed, after a few failed attempts to eat out and just order 'safe' menu items. I was invited to Corelife by a friend and naturally declined per usual, and then learned it promoted a gluten free menu. I did some research online and then additionally verified this claim with staff and afterwards, nervously decided to make an order and take the risk of 3-5 days of trouble breathing, weakness, inability to eat, vomitting, and fever with sweats, and general feeling of unwellness i.e dying. Lol. The food tasted great, the atmosphere was comfortable for an introvert, and it was truly a human experience I've been robbed of since diagnosis of celiac. Days later, my sister wanted to get lunch and I suggested corelife and again, the same great experience. I am moving back to the area shortly from Virginia and am excited to know of one place I can trust to eat out at. The days of going out with friends and restraining myself to a soda or glass of water are over! Thank...
Read moreI come here regularly on the weekdays to grab food for work. The food always comes out good, I rarely have any issues. Since there isn't much activity during the weekdays here the workers often sit in the back on their phones. I seriously could care less, I would do the same. The only issue I have is that some, not all, look visibly upset when I let them know I want to order. Like sorry you have to work? Anyways this little girl in a niqab gave me such obvious attitude when I asked her if she could take my order. I ignored this obviously because no one has time for that and I'm not her mother to correct her. Anyways after a hard, brutal, and tiring time taking my super simple order she then put my food in the bag and didn't even bother handing me it. I know the cashier could tell the other girl wasn't in her best of moods and handed me the bag instead. She should really quit if she hates her job so much. I would completely avoid this location if I had another one to go to that isn't miles away. The workers ruin the experience but I'll just try...
Read moreUpdated 8/13/22. We dined in this evening. The food was excellent, just like in the past. We enjoy coming here, for a healthier dining option. The only negative was that 2 of the 3 people working that shift, 6pm. Didn't really seem to want to be there . Most the time we are there, the staff is always friendly & engaging. Tonight the only one who seemed to care about what she was doing, was a young lady. I know it's hard to find people to work anywhere these days. We have the same problem where I work. It's sad that so many people don't think they have do anything of effort at their job, just show up & get paid. Take some pride in what you do & be grateful that you have a job, just like the lady that was there last night.
