Update: I will no longer get my coffee from Five Lakes. Lost a regular customer for good. The consistency of their drinks hasnât been the best and noticed my drinks were not made correctly as it did before. They also got rid of soy milk which I loved.
Just went through drive thru and had one side of my card filled. Mind you, 95% of time I order a latte which comes to $8. The card filled on one side says 1 FREE coffee. It doesnât specify iced coffee or hot so when I went through the drive thru, I am told it doesnât apply to iced coffee. I never had this issue. Anytime I filled my card, it was taken for an iced coffee. They need to change the wording on the punch card then because itâs misleading.
So after waiting in the morning during work rush⌠I left without an apology or coffee. After all these years of coming here, my business meant nothing. I believe spending $50 to fill one side of a card should qualify for a frickin iced coffee donât you think? Not good enough for five lakes or retaining a...
Read moreLet me share my experience. I stopped to buy 5 dozen donuts, to be rudely told I could only but three dozen, if not ordered in advance. "Okay, how about 3 dozen then?" To which I got a reluctant, "I guess." When I got to the window and paid, the not-so-pleasant woman at the window handed me my boxes, the bottom of which was covered in icing. Thanks! To top off the experience, the other not pleasant lady came over to tell me that she had just found out that it was actually policy to only sell two dozen, no more. I shoved the top box back at her but she said she'd give it to me since I'd already paid for it. How kind! Thanks for doing me the favor of selling me donuts at your donut store. I don't necessarily have an issue with the policy, I can see why you can't sell a large portion of your stock at the beginning of the day. However, the way the workers delivered their message, quite frankly sucked. With customer service like this, it's easy to understand why the store is...
Read moreUsually I would give this place 5-stars all around. Itâs the only place my wife and friends get our coffee both through the drive thru and inside.
But today was a different story. Four of us came to drink coffee and have breakfast (love there sandwiches). We ordered our coffee and sandwiches and sat down to drink and eat. Approximately 5 minutes after we sat down we were told we had to leave that they were closing the lobby because someone called in. There were three people working but apparently the 4th person cleans the lobby. We sat there and quickly ate our sandwiches and were told a second time we had to leave.
My question is why were we not told this when we ordered? Why could we not finish our coffee then leave? If this would have been my first experience I would never go back. Itâs a good thing they have good coffee or I would not go back now.
Overall I like this place and the staff. Today seemed very...
