Nick's Martini & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Had dinner at Nick's. Started off with an extra dirty Martini. Could have use a little more olive brine but that's a personal preference. The blue cheese stuff olive's were okay but truth be told I prefer club soda. For an appetizer we had the smoked jalapeño poppers. They were stuffed ground sausage and light cheddar cheese wrapped in bacon. Great smokey flavor and worth the try. The mac n cheese was basic but good. Not sure of the cheese type but it was bland and the cheese sauce could have been thicker. Now to the ribs, all in a it was a very good rib. Very tender and fall off the bone. In truth I like a firmer bite but all in all very good. Not a fan of the membrane being left on either but when it's cooked fall off not that concerning. The vinegar base sauce was excellent. Please know this is my personal preference on everything so give them a try and see if it meets you...

It’s such a shame I have to share this publicly but I want other people of color to be aware. It was a Friday night & a large group of my family members and I walked into the bar, we were greeted by glares. I believed it was just I who felt this unwelcomingbody language but 8 of my loved ones felt the same. Unfortunately we even heard an older gentlemen turn around and say “look at all of them” with disgust in his voice. No workers greeted us, & once we were greeted we were told to stand in the corner while they set up tables, which never happened after a few minutes of waiting. We decided to leave because the atmosphere was so incredibly uncomfortable. If you are a person of color please consider spending your money at an establishment that is more inclusive & not stuck...

Loved this place at first. Good drinks, nice service, beautiful aesthetics. Service has greatly declined - unhelpful, rude, and put off attitudes of staff make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Went here every Thursday for a while, but stopped after a server failed to ask me what I wanted to drink even though he asked the four people I brought with me what they wanted. They wouldn't have even been there if I didn't recommend it. Last time I went was about two months ago, and the server made every attempt to refrain from getting us food, drinks, or even water.
