Mexican Inn Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Overpriced and not worth it. We took a chance and ended up taking our food to go for the homeless people all near this location. The waitress was also a bit snippy and didn’t clear our table until we were ready to go so we didn’t even have space for our food or drinks after having some appetizers. She took my daughter’s plate as she was literally scraping some food up to eat and then was just like oh, oh well you’re finished now. They don’t offer tortilla chips like your typical Mexican restaurant, and instead offer their own chips which taste and look exactly like Fritos, just much less crispier and break way too easily. Only thing I would recommend here is their traditional queso and even then, that came out hard on top like it’d be sitting for quite a while. Street tacos are not like your traditional tacos either and are instead served on flour tortillas. Their charro beans are actually plain ol pinto beans. Brisket is simply overcooked pot roast and ours tasted like it was burned and just cut out. Location has a lot of homeless near and they come up to you the moment you walk in and out. Mexican Inn had their place all decorated for Christmas and I'm a very big Christmas person so I was very happy to see the decorations the food is always excellent and really the service is always good but today it was extra good and so as four single Ladies going out to eat a late lunch we had Superior service and so it brought us here to each such good food we do love our Mexican Inn on East Lancaster so thank you for keeping up the good recipes from the past and I'm sure you've added some things I'm one of those kind of people that just eats the same thing at each restaurant I have my my favorites and today was no different it was really delicious and the service couldn't have been better so thank you love Mexican and been going there since 1967 this very one except it was you know the older building but yeah so I highly recommend this particular restaurant it seems to have the better chef compared to some of the others that are even closer to where I live but I don't want to go to any other Mexican Inn the food is absolutely the best as far as I'm...

Me and my mom are handicap and place to go orders all the time with Mexican inn we have experience a few things with our orders. But it's time to say something about paying for something and not getting it and when you drive all the way back home and find they shorted you and call them to let them know about it. They ask you to drive back up there to get what was left out of your order. I told them I was not coming back up there they could put the purchase price back on my card and they said I would see it back on the card the next morning. They didn't do it and still haven't. Today is 11/14/2023 and I picked up my order on 11/12/2023. I have called the day of and every day there after and being told by Robert they were putting the refund back on my card. It's been two days now and my account does not show the price of the chip's being refunded. This place of business is ok when we have eat inside the restaurant but takeout if they forget part of your order trust me it's your lost. We will not ever spind our money...
