Taqueria El Camino Real — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Delicious tacos and quesadillas!!! Now when I say that I am a very picky eater when it comes to tacos...I mean it. My family had its own taco truck growing up so I ate way too many tacos to count, which made me very picky about the other taco trucks in the city. I have tried many taco places and have always left disappointed. HOWEVER. Today I took a random chance on this truck and I'm so glad I did.

First I must say, if you decide to come here, it is cash only. It is located next to a gas station that does have an ATM inside. Secondly, be prepared to wait as it is a family run business and there is only one/two people in the truck cooking at a time!

I ordered a chicharrón quesadilla (that is made with chile verde), 2 pastor tacos, and 1 asada taco (per the chef's recommendation). ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING. The quesadilla is really big and I was only able to eat half! The other half I will have as leftovers. It comes with a side of sour cream/lettuce/tomato/salsa.

The tacos were spectacular. I'm not lying. Asada tacos are always hit or miss for me, but this meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The thing that stood out the most to me was how minced/chopped the meat is!!! Tacos are stuffed with meat and no weird tendon pieces since it's chopped so finely! Sooooo good.

If you are hesitant, DON'T WAIT! JUST GO! Seriously a hidden gem here in Fort...

In town from Philadelphia. Naturally, I anticipated getting good Mexican food. This place exceeded my expectations! Met a nice guy when I arrived who realized I was from out of town, asked if I was getting tacos, and immediately recommended the Adovada!!! Wow, wow, wow! Oh did I mention they cooked me up a sample taco because I wasn’t sure I’d like it. In fact, they refused to let me purchase until I sampled; that’s next level, Ol school service! Great experience and I might get back...

Accidentally stumbled across this taco truck and I can officially say I have found the best carne asada torta I have ever tasted in all of DFW. Extremely affordable compared to big named restaurants and amazing service. They also offer some of the best tacos in the area. If you’re curious about this place I highly recommend you give it a chance and find out for yourself. Definitely coming back for...
