Getti Up — Restaurant in Fortuna

Visited from Australia in August 2023. Without a doubt the best coffee I had in North America (driving from San Francisco to Seattle). The coffee itself had great depth of flavour and intensity without the burnt, bitter taste I experienced elsewhere in the US when ordering the same 20oz Cafe Latte with extra shot.

The service was brilliant, helping me to find a US-version of the espresso style coffee that I drink at home in Australia. The inside of the shop was immaculately clean, and the convenience of drive-thru (which you wouldn't trust in Australia for remotely drinkable coffee)...

Sadly both times I went I was unable to drink what I ordered. The first time it was a fruit smoothie ( not made with fruit but a corn syrup fruit substitute) the last time we drive thru I ordered an Americano. Yes, you're thinking that one couldn't taste bad but like the cappuccino person, I couldn't drink it. We were on the 101 so didn't want to turn around so I called them and made a very polite attempt to let them know but I got hung up on. Cute theme, we were excited to try this place out while on our travels. Our server wasn't having a good day, not friendly and looked crabby, our drinks were awful. I got a dirty chai and my wife got an iced mocha and they both got poured out. I'm fairly easy to please and eat or drink most every, seldom do I get served something I'll turn away, and usually finish anything I pay for. Maybe they were having an off day. Not a place...
