The Urban Woody Brewery in Fostoria offers a truly welcoming and enjoyable experience, starting with its cozy atmosphere. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the inviting ambiance, particularly upstairs where a fireplace adds a touch of warmth making it feel like the perfect spot to relax with a craft brew. The downstairs area is equally appealing, providing a more traditional brewery setting with tables and bar seating. One of the standout features of The Urban Woody is the friendliness of the staff. From the moment I walked in, the team was welcoming and attentive, creating a genuinely pleasant environment. Their positive attitude truly enhanced the overall experience. For those who enjoy bringing their furry friends along, The Urban Woody offers a fantastic outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Beyond the excellent atmosphere and service, The Urban Woody also boasts a delicious menu featuring hamburgers, flatbreads, and a variety of appetizers. Having had the pleasure of trying a bit of everything, I can attest to the fact that all the food is well-made and tastes fantastic. This makes The Urban Woody not just a great place for beer, but also a solid choice for a satisfying meal. Overall Impression: My visit to The Urban Woody Brewery was a thoroughly positive one. The combination of the cozy upstairs fireplace, the welcoming downstairs area, the incredibly friendly staff, the dog-friendly outdoor seating, and the delicious and well-crafted food creates a unique and appealing destination...
Read moreThis place just keeps getting better! What began almost 5 years ago as a cozy little family and veteran-owned brewery in a cool old building has evolved into a winery, a place for entertainment, and great spot to eat, too! We love not having to leave our little town to see great bands whether during their summer concert series or artists performing inside. The tap list has a little something for everyone. Try a flight of beer or wine or ask for a sample. I love their oatmeal stout and their Risdon or Governor wines. Don’t like beer or wine? Try a seltzer! The food trucks in the warmer months bring a variety of options, and a few weeks ago the brewery started offering their own food! So far we have tried the pretzel, flatbread and paninis- all are delicious. We appreciate having this place to gather with friends or pop in before or after a sporting event....
Read moreComing from a town of mega-breweries such as Rhinegeist and Madtree, one will surely appreciate the uniqueness and pure charm of this brewery. One where you'll have your beer served by the owners, and they'll take the time to sit and talk with you like real people. Beers are top notch quality and truly "craft", brewed in small 60 gallon batches. Highly recommend the "What the Helles going on" with their optional purees. Also in the wintertime, the "Santa's Hot Little Helper" is fantastic and one of my favs! Never had a beer I didn't like from UWB, and always looking forward to...
