After reading some of the reviews, it sounds like quite a few people had the same issues we had. I'm giving two stars because I had a great experience when we just ordered drinks from the bar and took them outside. This was late afternoon on a weekday, and our bartender was awesome. He made me a specialty margarita that was amazing! When we had a meal there, though, it was a total disaster. I was there for a conference, so there were eight of us at a table on a Sunday evening. It wasn't busy at all, but we waited 45 minutes before our server even took our food order. The food came fairly quickly, and my chicken tinga quesadilla was good. After we were finished eating, we waited another 45 minutes for our checks. We had separate checks with the alcohol on one receipt and the food on another for meal reimbursement. That was no problem. The server took our cards and said that she could run them if we weren't in a hurry because she had to bring drinks to another table. Or she could ask her manager to do it so we could leave faster. We had been here for two hours at this point with several equally large groups arriving after us and leaving before us - so we said to have the manager run the cards. They had our cards for 30 minutes. We couldn't find our server, so a member of my group asked another employee (who called herself the "executive hostess") to speak to the manager. The hostess said she didn't know where he was. We said that he was supposed to be running our credit cards, and she said, "He's in the back running them." Our group member said "you just said you didn't know where he was and suddenly you do?" and the hostess huffed away. We finally had to go to the bar to ask to speak to the manager. The manager came out and said he would get to running our cards right away - so all of our credit cards had just been sitting out in the open for more than 30 minutes. We were there for a total of three hours. So beware.

The Blue Coyote Café at Talking Sticks Casino is a nice dining experience. We were sat quickly and had a nice outside table. The server was quick to come over with water and ask if we were having drinks. Drink menu in hand, she handed it over and let us decide. Since this is my first time in here and in AZ, I wanted to try some local beer. With the suggestion of our server, we ordered a Kilt Lifter Scottish Ale. At that time, we also ordered lunch. Drinks came out quickly and our meals shortly followed. I ordered the cheesesteak and was cautioned by our server that it had some spice to it. She wanted to make sure I knew so I was not surprised at first bite. It was a little spicy, but nothing I would have worried about, however, I appreciate her letting me know. Beer was good and the food tasty. The cheesesteak had a good flavor as well as the veggies and cheese on top. If I had to say one negative, I wish the cheesesteak would have been a little warmer, but it that is about it. The side of fries were warm and crispy. Overall, a nice first meal at the resort.

MADISON, CAMELIA AND LISA I have been to this restaurant for my sister Victoria’s birthday, with our brother Manuel; Madison gave us a supreme attention, she gathered a few of her coworkers and sang a happy birthday to my sister who turned 80. We all three had the Atlantic salmon and crab cakes. A few days ago, l brought my sister again, l had the Atlantic salmon with risotto and carrots, my sister enjoyed some nachos and a rib eye, Camelia was swift to assist us, and her service was superb. This morning l treated myself to a succulent breakfast with a picanha, l felt l was in heaven it was delicious, delicious, the meat perfectly cooked to my taste, its flavor was amazing no words to describe, my tummy is overjoyed and l told Elizabeth, Liz was marvelous. I think l may come back for another meal, before l return to California. PS: Came back 2/10/2025 for the picanha and was fortunate to be assisted by Madison again, her nice smile and great attitude.

Unfortunately if I could give a zero star review I would. I was with a large group of 17 people for a bridal party, and being that all of us were staying at the Talking Stick Resort we figured we would have dinner at Blue Coyote Cantina. The bride and myself attempted to contact Blue Coyote Cantina's staff several months in advance in an attempt to make a reservation, at which point they informed us that they do not take reservations, but that a party of our size should not be an issue. Turns out that that was not the case. Upon arrival we were sat at two different tables, with COVID still being prevalent this was in no way an issue, on the other hand the server for our table caused several. The other table consisting of our party were given a separate waiter. My concerns began when our server managed to take all of the tables order except for mine, and when it came time for the checks all matter of hell broke loose. When we were initially sat we let the manager know that we were all on separate checks, additionally the waitress asked us how the checks were split, and we let her know that all checks were separate except for the bride and grooms. After roughly twenty minutes the other portion of our party cashed out and left while we continued to wait for our checks. After a few more minutes the waitress brought us one single check, and let us know that we needed to either split everything equally on all of the cards, or we needed to separate the check ourselves, because she was not able to do it. At which point we asked to speak to a manager and were informed that it was not necessary. We proceeded to write our names next to each item on the check that belonged to us. We ended up waiting another thirty minutes to receive our separated checks, during which time we sought out, found, and spoke with a manager. The managers response to our frustrations in regards to our servers inability to split the checks was nonchalance. It was infuriating that instead of congratulating the upcoming bride and groom and giving a genuine apology about the consequences of the miscommunication on their part, he decided to give us excuses and tell us that he was going to oversee and take care of the issue personally, just to turn around and not be seen for the rest of the experience. After another 30 minutes of waiting for her to run our cards and return them, the waitress chucked our checks back into our hands and stormed off. By the end of everything our night was...

I wish I could be as disrespectful to this restaurant as they were to my group when we ate but I was raised better. Our server was drew and he took my associates id for an unreasonable amount of time to decide if she was of age like she wasn’t already id at the bar not far from the cafe and walked into the cafe with the bar drinks. So he started off with that but let’s not ruin the meal right. So we order and I don’t know which is worse the food or service again only have been dealing with drew as this point. We ordered the chicken quesadilla, some wings, and what they call a “Nashville hot” stacked sandwich. The chicken quesadilla was not good i strongly recommend not to order it. The wings were cold and just absolutely disgusting. The sandwich was very average. I don’t know where they think Nashville is but that is a insult to the people of Nashville to say that food was quality or spicy. Then to top it off because the food was overly priced one of my companions was like just take it in a box and we’ll give it away. We asked drew for the box and he said ok but wouldn’t leave the table until he got the checkbook back as if we were trying to skip out on the bill. The vibe from drew and treatment was just very disrespectful to local Scottsdale residents and...
