If this were a review from a few years ago, it would have been 5 stars. I must have visited this Topgolf at least 10x, but I won't be back. Upon arrival, nothing seemed to go well. We got there a little early to coordinate with our friends at the event. Upon check-in counter the young man who was working the counter clearly was either incapable of giving us direction or perhaps he was just undertrained as he couldn’t answer any questions we had. We wanted to adjust the time of the reservation since some of my friends were running a little behind and his reply was “uhhh just go to the bay and tell your server you have friends coming later.” When we got to the bay, we were told we couldn't start since we were still missing some people. In order to get things started, we had to ask to speak to the manager. While I understand this policy when it’s busy, I don't understand the restrictive nature of the policy with dozens of empty bays. When I asked our server about paying for the golf time she said the most we could split the time was between 4 people, but somehow we were able to split drinks and food individually. The safety of the environment became an issue on this visit. All of our guests followed the rules and stayed behind the red line. While one of our group swung, the head of the club came off, and hit one of my friends. Luckily, it only grazed her arm, but I can only imagine if it would have hit someone in the face. When we went to speak to the manager about it his reply was “yeah it happens all the time. Do you want an ice pack?” When our original time was about to expire our waitress said “yeah we don’t extend time.” I said we spoke to the manager about this when we got here. Are you not aware he already agreed to this?” While this was remedied I wondered why am I having to repeat myself, and shouldn’t this have been taken care of already. Upon checkout we had two issues. The “free drink” free the club head coming off and hitting my friend was on the bill. So, in the end we paid for that “free drink.” We also discovered that one of the cards was charged half of the reservation. Between the reservation process being complicated, the employees not giving clear instructions, restrictive start/stop policies, complicated payment policies, and a disengaged manager who shrugged off a safety hazard, we will not be...
Read moreBooked a 5:15pm appointment on 6/29/25 to go to Top Golf Scottsdale on 7/6/25. Called to ask questions since we’d never been there. Phone rang and rang; no answer. Called back, someone answered and was very short with answers and was eager to hang up. Not very good customer service if you’re trying to attract new customers. We were put off on how rude they were but thought we’d book anyway, maybe it was just a bad day. Understandable that they charged one of our cards for the 25% booking fee. Arrived 7/6/25, seemed to go well, even got us in earlier than our appointment time. We couldn’t understand the set up of players in the computer on top of extra fees, asked the gal to assist. She explains there’s an extra $5 per person charge, apparently that was not in the fee structure when we booked/reserved/was charged deposit. We were fine with that. Then, a waitress comes over asks if we want anything, told her no, water is just fine (it’s 110 degrees out, just need water). Waitress says she needs a card on file for food and incidentals. I told her we have a card on file that we used to book our reservation, she said she needs another card, hmmm??? She said it won’t be charged if we don’t order anything. I give her my card as my friend was putting and didn’t want to interrupt. We completed our golfing went home. I was checking my bank account the next day and discovered my card, I provided to the waitress, was charged for the golf. In addition, it appears they also charged tax to the additional $10 for the per membership fee. Waitress said my card would not be charged if we didn’t order food so why was it charged for golf when my friend’s card was on file when making the reservation. Not even sure if my friend’s card will be charged for golf as well, he hasn’t checked his bank yet. Top Golf, your systems and processes are disastrous, one person doesn’t know what another is doing. The staff is unprofessional and rude, “that’s our policy” is the answer to everything. Probably won’t ever return so you have an extra $5 per person (2 people) membership fee, plus tax. We’ll be sure to tell our friends and family not to go...
Read moreWe chose the package which on the website stated included a credit of $150.00 towards food and Bev, upon arrival into the bays I confirmed with our server (Dennis, I think) that we had a credit to utilize to which he confirmed. Service was slow and lacklustre but we weren't expecting anything past that as the attraction is obviously the golf simulator. When we received the bill I noticed that our deposit was applied but there was no credit of $150 applied as I had understood it. Our server mentioned that it was a common issue and that clients were often deceived by the verbiage and neither him or his manager Chris who was brought over to speak to us could explain properly how the "credit" worked. It my understanding, after Chris's poor explanation, we had to spend a MAXIMUM of $150 on food and Bev to receive this credit and moving into the surplus had resulted in us losing it and needing to pay for each item. None of these terms were explained to us, especially after I asked to confirm at the beginning of service. If we had been told this at the beginning, we would have happily spent more than the max and kept it rolling as we were there to celebrate a Bach and had no problem with spending a bit more. I had asked Chris what he could do for me as I found his explanation to be lacking and service to be overall poor, to which his solution was to give me $25 off my bill so that my deposit added up to $150 instead of $124... which just isn't an acceptable solution at all. It was never about the money, and more about the principal that not only is the website and T&C's incredibly misleading but apparently staff is trained by management to speak in such a way to clients that is also deceitful and misleading.
On top of that, the venue was not well kept, bathrooms were disgusting with dead bugs everywhere, and the staff would stand around in clusters and look visible distraught when anyone looked to them...
