Nice atmosphere and great outdoor views. Was just there for my wifes 66th birthday. Unfortunately, the food wasn't what some of us expected. My son and I both got steakes cooked incorrectly (they did send back and tried to correct). Green beans on my plate were rock hard! The potato at best was only cooked halfway. The 4 of us had great dessert, and the 2 meals for our daughter-in-law and my wife were just fine. All of our drinks were excellent. The waitresses were all very nice. We have been here before with faster and far better prepared meals. Expect to walk a longways on the weekends to the restaurant. Update 5-27-2023 at Jake's Spoon tonight for our 45th wedding anniversary. We were a party of four. 3 of us had very good meals. Mine was terrible and was supposed to be fresh Mahi Mahi. When my order came, it was 7 very small pieces of breaded fish. Think VanDeCamps frozen fish sticks. It was dry, and the pieces were all over cooked. Our drinks were all fine, and the appetizers were all very delicious. The dessert was supposed to be cheesecake with a raspberry sauce. Whatever I received was not cooked or prepared properly with a paper wrap that was not even chewable and was guey in texture. It's definitely not the cheesecake I've had in the past. Our waitress was nice and took off the fish and desserts, but our service was very slow for a holiday weekend. We've had a lot better food and service in past years, but lately, things seem to be lacking in quality and efficiency. May be a while before we come back, especially at these prices for the...
Read moreNOTE: this restaurant is a member’s only facility. The management allowed us to eat there as the place had received changed to Members Only, and we were unaware of that. All internet searches did not mention that fact. There were 5 of us. Beverages were served promptly, and our orders taken by the bartender after time was spent perusing the large menu. The food was served pretty quickly compared to other places like this. One order (mine!) was a bit delayed but came as soon as I noted that to the server. Food was well prepared in generous portions and hot to the table. There were no complaints from any of my companions. Typical American fare. Prices were a bit higher than at comparable locations. However, it is a golf club. Everyone did say that it was very noisy there. Other guests walking by looked at us like we shouldn’t be there, so it’s a bit on the snobby side. Would I eat there again, discounting the fact of members only? Maybe. The food was good and in generous quantity. The service was quick and adjusted when necessary. Prices were reasonable for the type of restaurant. It just was boy’s club noisy and the snootiness of others was...
Read moreI went here on a Wednesday evening with family. The place is very nice with high-end furniture and decorations, but the service didn't match the surroundings. No one asked us or brought us drink refills. We had to ask or take our cup to the bar for a refill. After the food was dropped off, no one came back to ask how it was. We had to flag someone down to let them know one of the burgers was burnt. They did take it back to the kitchen to have it remade and took it off the bill. When the new burger came back to the table, no fries were on the plate, and the previous plate had the fries barely touched. No one offered us to go boxes, and we had to ask for them. It took about 5 minutes for the waitress to go grab one from the back. For the high-end vibe this place gives on first impression, the service was terrible. Our waitress was also serving the customers at the bar, and I feel this is one of the reasons why the service was so poor. The people at the bar were receiving great service, but sadly, we were forgotten at the table right across from the bar. I do not recommend this restaurant. The prices are too high, and service quality is...
