Odd restaurant,
Atmosphere: The decor is model airplanes and TVs that play those ‘Chive TV’ mindless fluff. The music was decent, a lot of Cat Stevens.
Service: The young lady server, who was very attractive, was quick, skilled, and didn’t miss a beat. The whole dining experience was notably timely, being in and out in less than an hour.
Food: I ordered the tap rootbeer (good quality, not too much fizz or water or anything), the deep fried tofu with sweet chilli sauce (tofu was firm, but giving, and was a pleasant taste with the sauce) and the beef pho with (a) meatball (the meatball is quartered, along with strips of sizzle steak).
My only disappointment is with the pho. The beef was well cooked, it came with enough side vegetables, but overall, it was bland. There was no flavour, no savouriness, no umami. I understand not everyone likes Scoville heat, and that’s what the sriracha and lao gan ma is for. But it just didn’t taste like much more than warm water with noodles, beef,...
Read moreIf you’re looking for good Vietnamese, look no further than here. This is a family run restaurant by a wonderful couple who care deeply for the quality of their food and their customers experience. Through their soft opening my partner and I have started coming quite regularly and frequently talk with the chef and her husband. They are both great and their food is even better.
Going down the growing menu will yield you plenty of delicious options beyond just Pho (which is excellent) and I personally recommend the bun cha hanoi. I don’t normally order outside my favorite dishes like Pho but the food here was so good we started exploring other selections on the menu and have been impressed each time.
Seating is comfortable, servers are friendly and prompt, the atmosphere is relaxed, and there’s a great story behind the decor if you ask.
Easily our favorite place in town now. We leave full and satisfied every time and it’s always great to see everyone each...
Read moreThis was my first time at Pho Legend. I popped in for lunch service and was sat at a booth immediately. The food is absolutely incredible. I had the beef pho and all but licked the bowl clean! The broth is robust and delicious, the beef was tender, and the side plate of garnishing herbs and sprouts were fresh and crisp. The Thai tea was also very tasty. Everything about this meal was incredibly flavorful! If you’re looking for some good local pho this is the spot. Not only is the food amazing, but the ambiance is too. I had the pleasure of meeting Mai, the head chef in the kitchen. She’s so passionate about her craft; you can tell by the depth of flavor that she cooks with love! Thank you again! I will definitely...
