Tammy's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Fox Lake

Was super busy at 5:30 on a Friday. Tables were open when we arrived but when we left at 7:30p All were occupied. 1 waitress for the entire dining area. About 100 patrons. We received our food at 6:30pm. I had the taco salad, in the past I loved it! I received a dinner size plate full of lettuce, chopped tomato, green onions and tortilla straps. In the middle of the plate under a layer of lettuce was maybe 3/4 cup of ground beef taco meat. A few shreds of cheese...thats it! I thought she brought me the wrong order because I was expecting the big flour edible taco bowl! They stopped doing.it I guess.. Uses up too much fryer oil! No sour cream was brought with it so it was very dry. I asked an employee if she could please bring a container of sour cream. It took 20 min. By then I was done eating some of the salad. $11.99 for lettuce and taco meat I wont suggest to anyone. My girlfriend ordered Chicken Parmigiano Dinner. It was one thin Chicken breast and the test of the plate was spaghetti pasta with 2 small meatballs and sauce that had already soaked into the pasta. I think our food was sitting on a shelf in the kitchen for awhile. That was expensive too. I asked for some extra sauce to pour on the leftovers tomorrow. She came out with a clear container the size of the sour cream container. So it was not a pleasant experience. We placed our order way before the tables filled up. I really think they concentrate on the pizza part of the business and inside dining comes after. The only customers getting good service were the 4 people sitting on the bar stools. So if you go allow plenty of time. If you ate ordering carryout to pick up allow 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Have Uber bring your delivery instead of their drivers. I have been ordering from this location for 17 years now. I had an instance where they goofed up on our pizza and gave us mushrooms instead of sausage. I decided that I’ll let them know the next time I order pizza and ask for a credit from them and this is the 1st time I ever had a complaint to them in 17 years asking for a credit back. I put the order in for my next pizza today. I told them that they goofed up and they gave us mushroom instead of sausage on our pizza from the last order and I was asking for a credit for that. They told me they could not give me a credit because I needed to call when it happened. I told them that I figured that I could just get the credit on my next pizza when I called for the next pizza. I told them the difference was just a little over a dollar credit not to charge me for sausage on this pizza and I thought that would be fine and they still would not honor giving me a little over a dollar back. They are going to lose a customer over a dollar and a little bit of change and they did not care. That really tells a lot about the ownership of this place and customer service. I will not be ordering any food from this location from here on out. I also told them that I tip them every time just to help the kids out there that work there and I give pretty good tips every time and they did not care. Rarely order out. Always expect a treat when I do. Called Tammy's last night. Ordered a 14 in. thin sausage, pepperoni and a double Ed Burger with cheddar instead of Swiss.

I received a 14 in pepperoni only with about a 5in bubble that wasn't caught in time to keep the cheese on it so it was a 5in. circle with no cheese and no pepperoni in the middle of it. as well the pizza has some citric fruit flavor to it. Like they made it on some spilled lemon juice or something. I've worked at a pizza place. Pizza shouldn't taste like lemons or limes. Tomatoes are citrusy but they do not resemble lemons or limes. This is particularly frustrating to me because I ordered the pizza to have the next day because cold pizza is one of my favorite things. I can't eat it. Going in the garbage.

Not a big fan of Swiss cheese on a burger either, that's why I requested that the Swiss originally in the recipe be replaced with cheddar. No such luck.

I called before I started eating to see what the manager's remedy would be. She did say she could resend the right order but that would have taken an hour and 15 minutes on average and it already took a little over an hour to get the original order. But she said she would credit my account $10.
