I'm trying to figure out the most recent reviews!?! I have been going to Gianni's for about 23 years. I think I have tried pretty much everything and for the most part it has always been good. Is it always a 5 star experience? Let's be honest is anything? Reviews are to let others know how much you liked something, what you liked, what you didn't like, what didn't work for you, what you may change, etc. It isn't to bash a place so bad that you are trying to make others from not going. The food is good, and depending on what you get it may be better elsewhere, the pizza is excellent, most of the subs are delicious! Some are just ok, is it the mood we are in, is it the way it was made, who knows. I think a review is best if you review it every time you have gone what you tried, the whole picture not fictitious! What I mean by that is Gianni's doesn't smell like butt cheeks, they do not have linguini, they always cut their subs, etc. Are the workers as friendly as Disney World? No, they are not! Sometimes they talk to you, sometimes they don't. The fact that they are ALWAYS busy should at least say something for them. I have seen them deal with the most annoying, difficult people over the years. Have you seen some of the crazys that hang around that area. So creepy! The cash only doesn't bother me but I can see why it is an inconvenience for most. I love to pay cash and not think of it again. With all of that being said, and adding my 2 cents. Some of my favorite items are: a simple cheese pizza (especially when it is fresh out of the oven), the chicken chipotle pizza, a grilled chicken salad with feta, the theresa special, steak and cheese, Chicken Arrabbiata with ziti and a old fashion Italian sub with everything but lettuce! Delicious!!!! Just remember everyone's tastes are different and every review makes an impact on someone, especially those that work there and make a living from it, Perception can destroy something or someone. Try to be a little kinder and just state the facts! ...
Read moreHonestly I think overall Gianni's has the best PIZZA in the area, and they have always gotten my order correct. Although I've heard stories of bad customer service I've never experienced that myself, I suppose they're not the most friendly but I've never had an issue with someone being rude. Working in customer service myself i can see them not wanting to deal with rude or crass customers it's a family run buisness so they can tell th crazies to f* off if they want to. You all claim to have been polite but that's probably to save face. People get upset when their food is wrong (understandably) but if you're rude about it (we are all just people everyone makes mistakes) maybe you should expect some sass.maybe next time give your driver a tip and they'll be a little nicer. I can probably guarantee people who are complaining about them not wanting to deliver cash only payments, dumb stuff like that have never worked in food service. Don't be that jerk that calls for delivery 15 minutes before they close, then write a bad review because they wouldn't do it. Anyhow I think their pizza tops all the other pizza in the area, I do prefer Libertys pizza for subs and pizza wagon for a salad but in my opinion none of their food is bad or inedible it's perfectly acceptable for a family owned pizza joint and I...

This last time, though, I ordered and was told 45 minutes to an hour for delivery. I called after 1 hour and 20 minutes to check the status. Our kids were hungry and I needed to know if I should make them something else. The guy who answered the phone said it would be here soon. I asked if it was on its way or had not left yet. He put the phone down, came back and said they didn't have an order for my address. When I asked how that might have happened, he suggested that maybe I placed an order while on hold, not knowing I wasn't talking to someone. So, after lying to me about the order being here soon, he basically insulted me. No apology, no offer of a discount or to rush the order to us. Nothing like that. We will never get their pizza again.
Bill's in Natick is on Doordash for delivery to Framingham, and their pizza is MUCH better anyway.
Edit: Bill's seems to not be offering through Doordash anymore, but Max and Leo's is, and their pizza is also much better...
