This place has great potential, but definitely has a lot to improve. Their menu offers a variety of unique options including a vegetarian friendly selection and dessert options that at least once out of the three times I’ve ordered have been delicious.
After ordering three times here, here’s what I’ve concluded: Food quality: It’s uncertain if the quality of the food will be the same. One order you might get a delicious fresh strawberry roll and the next order you might get frozen strawberries that are too soggy to eat by the time they are delivered to you. Order items: It’s uncertain if you will receive all of the products you ordered. Two out of three orders I’ve had missing items and was not contacted regarding the issue. The first time this happened, the restaurant replaced one of the missing items (a vegetarian roll) with a Salmon temaki (non-vegetarian option) given that I had also ordered a Philly roll. The second time this happened, it was not replaced. I’ve since then learned that the restaurant does not have the item available and has not been able to remove it from their online menu, but have removed it from their Uber Eats page; I’ve now learned to not order that item again, sadly. Order time: It’s uncertain when your order will be ready. I’ve learned to order at least two hours ahead of time to account for their delays. Fully expect that your order will not be delivered or be ready for pick up at the time listed on their website. I’ve considered dining in to get around the wait times, but as the name says, it’s “to go”; there’s a seating area for pick up orders. Customer service: It’s uncertain if you will get to speak to someone if you call the restaurant to inquire about your order. My calls have always gone to voice mail, which is normally full. I’ve learned to contact them via WhatsApp on the number listed; thankfully they are responsive and courteous.
Overall, I can only hope that they continue to improve. I will be willing to try my luck again in some time and update my...
Read moreThe food isn’t bad but the wait times are horrid. They give long ETAs for when the food will be ready and can never deliver on it. I have yet to leave the restaurant within 20 minutes of when my order should have been ready. Once, they delayed my pickup by 55 minutes and instead of taking responsibility they said that because I wasn’t there on time that they repurposed for other orders since it was busy?? Most recently, at 7pm I placed an order for pickup at 9:00pm, got there and was told it’d be another 5 minutes and only left at 9:27pm. When I complained about the half hour delay the attendant on WhatsApp said she can’t give a discount because it wasn’t considered late. She also tried to poorly justify their failure to deliver on time with saying that it’s a sign that they have a lot of customers and business is booming as though that will justify delivering, not just my order (read other reviews), but everyone else I knows orders as well consistently late?? Overall, they struggle heavily on meeting their demands and it’s most likely because they only have 1 sushi man making the orders and the online attendants are in Brazil and there’s poor communication between the two (or at least that’s what I was told by an employee there). Management needs to bring their attention to this spot as its quality of service is...
Read moreAvoid Sushi Time at All Costs
Sushi Time is the epitome of frustration. Their hours are a complete mess—Google says one thing, social media says another, and none of it matches reality. I’ve placed orders thinking they’re open, only to find out they’re not, and they refuse to refund. Instead, they tell you to place another order. Seriously?
If you try pick-up, don’t even bother expecting your order to be ready on time. They never start preparing it until you show up, so budget an extra hour unless you enjoy standing around. The lack of communication is staggering—no updates, no apologies, just blank stares.
To make it worse, their menu situation is a joke. Different websites list different prices and items, so you’re left wondering if you’re even ordering from the right place. Their Instagram links one site, Google links another, and none of them match.
Out of my last 10 orders, 9 have been delayed—sometimes by over an hour—even when the place isn’t busy. It’s almost impressive how consistently awful they are. Save yourself the headache and order sushi literally...
