Pepe's of Frankfort — Restaurant in Frankfort

I have lived in Frankfort for 9 years and my wife and I have eaten here about once a week for all 9 years. We have been in Florida for a couple months and could not wait to go eat there when we got home. Went there on 6/4, a tuesday night at around 8 PM. Not sure what changed in the last couple months but something has. The worst service I have ever had. Two or three girls just walking around doing nothing, they would not even look at us when they walked threw the dining area. One dark haired guy waiting on a table in the front of dining area that was only taking care of his 4 or 5 people and could not even get the dirty tables cleaned off in his little area. I think the guy that finally asked if we wanted something after sitting there for 15 minutes and being ignored was a bus boy. Yes we sat there for 15 minutes when there where only people sitting at two other tables in the whole dining area for 15 minutes before anyone even looked at us, should have got up and walked out then because it keep going down hill from there. Waited 25 minutes for a couple chili con queso's and stuffed nacho's , waited 10 minutes to get a to-go box and the waited 10 minutes before anyone would come get my cash to pay and then said they had to get change from the bar , after another 10 minute wait for change I walked into the bar side and got my own change. I really hope you go find out who was supposed to be waiting on people on this evening get this fixed because we don't want to have to go to the other Mexican diners in town. I am 65 years old and this is the first time I have ever walked out without leaving a tip and this is the first review I have ever wrote. Please fix...

The food my family was cold and have of it came out after the rest of the food and they Totally forgot my grandson food. When the management came over she said that she would Reheat the food. I don't no why she didn't offer to just remake the food because if I want to reheated food I could go home and get food out of my refrigerator and eat.the Is Waitress didn't come and get us new drinks I had to wait it the management came to talk to me. Then when we got our bill, she only took $10 and some change off. And I told her about it and she said that we still ate the food even though it was cold. So obviously we didn't have a problem with it. Also, we didn't have no other choice other than eat the cold food or have them reheat it and eat reheated food. I don't think we should have had to pay full price for cold food or reheated food. Maybe they should have done it right in the first place. Not no $100 for food that was messed up. When I asked For the Manager's boss's number or Or. How the contact her boss over it.She said she couldn't give me the information Which is not right.There should be always a way to get a hold The owner of the business Or The corporate. My waitress was great. Very nice, joked around, and knew the menu.

Aside from my waitress, everything else was terrible. I ordered a burrito that was a rolled up tortilla with nothing but meat and sautéed veggies inside. The ends couldn’t even be folded in to match some semblance of a burrito, and with the mediocre filling and nothing else, it was extremely dry. No sauce, cheese, anything.

The salsa had no flavor aside from straight tomato. It was almost a chunky ketchup.

For dessert, I had the empanadas, but they weren’t actually empanadas. An empanada is made with dough to make a turnover. This was a burrito with filling that was fried. It didn’t taste bad, but don’t call it an empanada if it isn’t one.

The coke tasted like diet too.

Absolutely avoid this place unless you don’t have taste buds or if you don’t care what you put in your body.
