Slabby's Food & Freedom — Restaurant in Frankfort

We went on an evening bike ride and chose Frankfort as our destination. Looked on google to see what places looked good for dinner, and Slabby’s was our choice by pictures and reviews! Wow we’re we very impressed with the whole experience from start to finish!! The place is quaint and welcoming, with American decor. The menu is small but great choices, with fresh smoked meats and homemade sides! We went with a Bubba(like a meat and sides sample) 3 meats and 4 small sides, and the bubba Jr.(smaller sampler) 2 meats and 2 small sides. The food was AMAZING, hot, fresh and big portions. The owners were very welcoming, funny and made sure we were taken care of from the moment we walked in the door. They do have a bar with what seemed like a massive selection of spirits, unsure of the beer selection but my husband had bottled coors light. They also accommodate ordering ahead for meats and sides for bigger groups, as well as normal to go orders. We already plan on returning with a bigger group to dine in and...

Over rated, some of the food is good, like the brisket,, iv tried the sides and there are a few you need an acquired taste for,but the burnt ends are 99 % fat, RIBS ONLY ON SATURDAY? I'm never in this town on a Friday or Saturday. Turkey is for Thanksgiving, n i barely eat it then, and when they have a good meal on the menu that makes my mouth water and im thinking I made the right choice today to come back here and eat, Smoked meatloaf, taters, n corn mmmmmm, and I was in at 4:15 pm NOPE WERE OUT OF THAT! lol out of a dish on a Thursday at 4 o clock in the afternoon. I'm done not coming back ill give the Mexican restaurants my business...

Highly recommend! Tried Slabby's for the first time after a recommendation from my sister. My parents and I ordered takeout: 1 Jr. Bubba dinner with 2 orders of brisket and a turkey meal. We tried sides of creamy corn salad, potato salad, cornbread, and pickled onions. Both meats were excellent and juicy. We got the brown sweet sauce and the black Worcestershire sauce, equally delicious. Three of us ate well for $38. The owner took me back to see his new smoker and his setup out back. It was so clean and interesting! I hope he is able to have great success in Frankfort!
