The Roscommon Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Frankfort

I loved this place the food was amazing the atmosphere was great staff was friendly. Then I went for dinner and told the bartender that I missed them being open for lunch but Covid had hit many places hard my wife and I and our close friends had dinner at the bar we all enjoyed the food and the service the bartender happens to know our daughter and her fiance pretty well an I gave him a flier and explained to him we were doing a bike run it was a month out but they weren't open for lunch anymore and we wanted Roscommon to be our Frankfort stop. This was a benifit ride for my sister who was diagnosed with cancer, the waitress said I'll come in early and work it and the bartender said yeah sure we'll open for you gave him the date again that was on the flier and left it with him told him the approximate time we would be there from the previous stop and let him know we weren't looking for donations from the stops just for them to have something quick and affordable for fast stop 20 to 30 minutes agreed and we finished our dinner and left. We did 2 dry runs of the ride on Sunday's prior to the ride not surprisingly the bar was closed as we were running close to the times we had talked about but the ride was on a Saturday and they were going to open early just for our ride just as the prior stop was. On the day of the ride we call the next stop from the prior spot on each of them to give them a count and an approximate time THERE WAS NO ANSWER MY GUT BEGAN TO SINK I TRIED AGAIN THINKING THEY ARE JUST BUSY GETTING READY AND DOING THE OPEN NO ANSWER AGAIN. SICK GUT BECOMES PANNIC I HAD 40 PLUS BIKES ALMOST 60 PEOPLE WHAT AM I GOING TO DO JAD MY WIFE AND FRIEND TRY AGAIN NO ANSWER WELL TIME TO HEAD THAT WAY ARRIVE ALL THE BIKES FROM ALL OVER INDIANA MERGE ON THE PARKING LOT PICKING THEIR SPOTS TO PARK I FRANTICALLY GO TO THE DOOR SOME LIGHTS ARE ON GREAT DOOR IS LOCKED RIDERS NEEDING THE RESTROOM SOME ARE HUNGRY GAVE THEM MY DEEPEST APOLOGIES WE CALLED AHEAD TO THE NEXT STOP ANOTHER ALMOST 40 MILES AWAY THEY WERE READY FOR US ASKED THE GROUP I KNOW ANOTHER SPOT CLOSE THAT IS NORMALLY OPEN IF THEY WANTED TO DO THAT OR HEAD TO THE NEXT LOCATION WE FORGED AHEAD AND THE REST OF THE RIDE WAS AMAZING. ALL THE OTHER STOPS WERE ON TOP OF THEIR GAME WITH FOOD SPECIALS AND FAST SERVICE I WILL MISS ROSCOMMON I WILL...

Walked into an incredibly rude greeting, the owner exclaimed at us that he would get with us when he can get with us because he is the only one there. When he got to us he threw the menus onto the table and acted as if serving us was a chore. When he served our drinks he blew us off yet again saying he couldn’t get to us yet. I am not going to be blatantly disrespected or spend my time in a hostile environment. After taking another customer’s order, the owner seemed to throw a tantrum, throwing his pen at the wall in anger. Absolutely ridiculous and an unacceptable experience. When he finally got to taking our order he started off by telling us everything he does not have on tap and on the menu, in a demeaning way. Why not tell us what you do have? Look on the bright-side for once. We have put up with some attitude in the past but the moment you come at me directly and throw your pen around, I will never return and refuse to be disrespected. Would leave 0 stars...

The staff here is phenomenal and will go above and beyond for anyone. My father had passed away and loved to drink, we wanted to do a celebration at a local bar in his hometown. The owner was so kind as to allow us to come in and celebrate his life. They helped us set up a table with some of his things and had put a candle, some peaceful decorations, and printed out a large size picture of my dad for us. It was so very kind and I will truly cherish this memory that they helped me create.

They were very attentive to everyone that came in, keeping up with their food and drink orders while still maintaining their regular customers. I was completely blown away by their kindness. The drinks and food were very very reasonably priced, a very good selection. I didn’t get a chance to try their food but everyone in our party eating throughly enjoyed it, it looked and smelled incredible!
