La Pizza — Restaurant in Franklin Township

This was our first and last time ordering food from this restaurant. On a Friday night I understand it's busy but when you arrive and your food is not ready be honest about the wait. A few minutes okay. 15 minutes go by, the woman I believe is the owner says "just a pizza right?" "No, I also ordered wings." A horrified look comes on her face, I see my pizza be placed on top of the oven and she goes behind the wall and I hear some heated discussion and I hear it's gonna be at least 5 minutes. Nothing is said to me then a counter girl says a few more minutes. 20 minutes later. I'm told a few more minutes. I ask is that my pizza up there getting cold I am told yes and they walk away. Some man in street clothes is walking around the food prep area, no caution to contamination of germs. And I get to watch a server use a cleaning rag no gloves, then picks up a hot tray of garlic knots with the cleaning rag and proceed to use her extra long fingernails to pick off the garlic knots from the baking rack like she's picking off a scab. Finally after almost 45 minutes (having ordered an hour prior ) I am given the wings and cold pizza and they walk away . No "we're sorry about the mix up" no "sorry about the wait"... Nothing. The pizza was cold and flavorless. The wings, after all that time were chewy skin underdone. Never again. The menue boasts "Best pizza in town". There must not be any other pizza places. I order from LaPizza quite regularly (2-3 times a month). The last 2 times I ordered from them they forgot the bleu cheese dressing with my hot wings (I paid additional for extra and requested the wings to be well done). The first time they forgot, I contacted them and they returned the cost of the bleu cheese. The second time they forgot (again, I paid extra for additional bleu cheese), I had added an additional note to my order asking them not to forget the bleu cheese as was done before. They still forgot. I contacted them again and they offered to bring me the bleu cheese I ordered once the driver returned. I asked for a manager and was told there was no manager in the building. I explained to the person on the phone that by the time the driver got back to my house, the wings would be cold and soggy. I requested that along with the bleu cheese dressing that they also bring another order of wings cooked well done. Well, I got my bleu cheese as well as a smoldering pile of burnt ash that might have been chicken wings at one point. These were not just a little burnt, they were so burnt it was clear it was done on purpose; they were completely inedible. Very unprofessional. I will never order from LaPizza again. Note to management: My typical order is no less than $40 before that and tip. I tend to spend between $120 and $150 a month with you. I grew up on it! And not just because of that I gave them 5 stars... but because they stayed true, genuine, and strong. There's been alot of places locally trying to add competition to the pizza industry, but no one has a thing on my La Pizza! Dannys, wawa, ray's... they tried.. and they absolutely can not compare. I have never had a bad day from your food! That's definitely important! The taste is the best around. The pizza is the perfect jersey pizza and not too oily. No one can make cheese steak pizza like they do! The only competition they ever had was Nick's, but they stopped delivering to franklinville after 20 years.. smfh. I'm not even made. I'm glad. Places like Nick's do not deserve all the money I chalked away to them during the pandemic.. I should have stayed true to pizza shops like this one. One that never gave up on its patrons. One that never changed a thing. The only thing they changed...I read something the other day bring your own bottle and eat... a girl is sold! You can keep this change!
