This was the quintessential hole on the wall, classic, Americana, small town, diner. All in a good way. Where you can go back in time, and have a sense of what it was like back when life and society was much simpler, with no cellphones ironically intervening with family communication, no cameras checking your every move wherever you go. Back when you knew the first and last name of your neighbors. When kids were safe in mind, body and spirit when you sent them to school. When families used to go for breakfast at the local diner. Very small and cozy, great food, great coffee. We had the Hungry Man and the Waffle with breakfast sausage, French toast and bread toast, and orange juice. It was great, and the people there made you feel welcomed. Great spot to feel like you were back in simpler times and when the food was great, as it is in this place.

My go-to diner. Place just a couple miles from home so I figured I’ll give it a try, now I come back every couple weeks. Staff is very friendly and has even gotten to know me and my family. Food is delicious, like homemade, and at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is humble and comfortable. Will come to this diner forever and highly recommend.

Small little hole in the wall diner, small menu and decent food. Was 40 dollars for 2 pancakes and a western omlette with a side of bacon.

My bf and I went in voting day. You wouldn't think it would have made an impact but it's the only thing I can think of and heard the waitress say. I ordered breakfast and my bf ordered lunch. I got hash n eggs he got a pastrami sandwich. Both dishes advertised on menu. We were seated and waited close to 10 mins to be addressed again. Coffees were tasteless n weak. I ordered my eggs over medium to be safe and the whites were so runny it was inedible. The hash was really bad. It tasted like it had been cooked on a burned, dirty flattop. The home fries were under seasoned and very bland. My bf, after ordering his meal by the name on the menu had to explain to the waitress what was on it because she had no clue and kept asking questions about his meal like if he wanted a side when the menu stated all sandwiches came with fries. Poor old woman next to us orders soup and a hot dog asking for the soup immediately. Another 10 mins go by and the waitress finally comes and tells her the dont have the soup she originally said they had and offered her the alternative. The woman declined. The waitress then loudly went back to the kitchen and yelled that the woman didn't want the soup. I love diners. I wanted to like this place so bad. It...

If I was an owner of this place, I would rethink how my business is run. Sunday around 10am the busiest time and there is one waitress doing pretty much everything. From taking orders to cashing out people at register. We weren’t sitted for long time because she said only tables were open (well?? Table if fine, idk why we weren’t offered a table). There was one booth out of service, no sign on it, so obviously everyone walking in would sit there, just to be told it is out of service. BUT 2 guys sat there, and they were allowed to stay. ?!?! There was a young girl bussing tables, she should have had more training for sure. Her attitude and comments were out of place, like remarks about other guests? Service was horribly slow this one poor woman did everything she could but why are they so understaffed? Not a good experience, too long of a wait, too bad because it is a nice local spot and I’d rather eat at small business than some fancy chain restaurant. Not to mention there is a 4% fee if you pay by credit card and prices on the menu are CASH prices. There is no such an information on the menu - if you go the cash register- there is a small sign on the wall...

I’ve been to this diner about four times now. The first three times I had omelettes, which were good. Like it has been mentioned in other reviews, the portions are not very generous. However, this last time I went with my neighbor, and we each got the Hungry Man breakfast. When the plate was put in front of us, I thought it was kind of a joke, as so much of the plate was visible. The waitress had dropped off the food quickly, but then came back with something else from the order. At that time I said, “It looks like this is the Not-Too-Hungry Man Breakfast.” She wasn’t amused, didn’t say anything and just walked off. I was actually pretty damn annoyed and surprised (as was my neighbor) that they had the gall to plate such a pitiful display of food, calling it the Hungry Man. I can do portion control on my own… when I go out to eat, I want to eat! Felt like stopping at McD’s on the way home. I may be done with this place for a while. It may be close to home, but I’d rather drive to Groton. Don’t even get me started on the brand new toilet that’s been sitting outside their bathroom for one...
