Great stop for inexpensive Chinese food. The old standbys are here, as are a few new and different items. The inside isn't really meant for dining - plan on takeout - and is quite smokey. Loved the szwchwan lo mein - well-cooked noodles with a good mix of proteins and vegetables. Trio Kung Pao Combination was also excellent. The owner warned me it was heavy on the peanuts, and she was right, but it's still quite good. More well-cooked proteins with lots of veggies and a slight kick to the sauce. The fried dumplings were a bit disappointing - more shell than filling, and a bit rubbery. Still, I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Norwich.

I stopped in this restaurant on my last day in town on a business trip and I wasn’t disappointed with my order. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and fried very nice! The veggie fried rice wasn’t really how I like my rice but it made due. I wish I would have tried the egg roll but I only got the rice and chicken. The restaurant was a small little place with the ability to look into the kitchen to see your meal being prepared which is always a PLUS.

5 stars This was my first time at Peacock Chinese Restaurant, and I absolutely loved it! I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken lunch special, which came with white rice, a shrimp egg roll, and the chicken all on one platter. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked—crispy just the way I like it. The egg roll was golden and crunchy, and the chicken had a great flavor with just the right amount of spice.

The restaurant itself was very clean and had a fresh, pleasant smell—no trash or greasy odors like you sometimes get at takeout spots. I also appreciated the hygiene: when the worker came up front to check me out after being in the kitchen, she immediately put on gloves before handling the money. That level of cleanliness and care really stood out to me.

Overall, great food, clean place, and great service. I’ll...

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. I chose to eat there because there was so much traffic going in and out I though that it was a good place to eat. The fried rice was yellow, no bean sprouts, egg, meat or vegetables. The egg roll had nothing but cabbage and some tiny flecks of something red in them. They were small and folded to accommodate the lack of ingredients which made the egg roll wrap too thick and chewy. They need to make...
