I can't understand all the phenomenally rave reviews, except maybe they don't know what a truly fantastic pizza tastes like? To me this place was only a small step above "Mall Pizza". I stopped in and ordered the lunch special that so many reviews raved about, and mind you, I visit a place multiple times at different times slots as I know the customer experience can differ depending on the time of day before I write an informed review, so here goes. The "Ginormous" slices were nothing more than standard pie slices off a 6 cut 14" pizza. So nothing special there. They were double heat slices, just like EVERY mall pizza, first heat for the initial cooking of a cheese pizza and then a second heating for your chosen ingredients. Sbarro, Phantom Pizza and others have been doing this since the 80s at every mall. I will however state that their crust was just a hair better, and not by much, then mall pizza. The toppings were standard amount compared to mall pizza. The cheese was extremely lacking in quantity, and the sauce barely had any taste to it whatsoever. The amount of grease left on my plate tells me that they "CUT" the cheese with cheddar, as the grease is a unique side effect of melted cheddar only. You will not see that happen with true mozzarella or provolone. The only thing that made this a 2 star vs a 1 star was the young gentleman working the counter during one of my visits. He was very professional and displayed great customer service for the entire time I was there, and had I been behind the counter there were a couple of people I would not have bitten my tongue with. So kudos to him for his customer service. Only way I would recommend this place were if my only options were Cousin Vinnys, Dominos, a Mall Pizza or this place. Then again I think my choices would be better in the frozen pizza section...
Read moreI have dined in, ordered delivery and also done the reaper challenge so I can give you a thought on all. The food is excellent there is no doubt that they won warren county best pizza place 4 or 5 years in a row. The atmosphere is fine. Bathrooms are clean. It's a little cramped on weekends. Wish they'd leave the tvs on more often during games or even the one tv that plays trivia. The delivery experience was not the best in fact horrible but that was 11 years ago. I ordered a deluxe it took an hour and 30 min to drive 2 blocks away. It was when I was remodeling a house I purchased otherwise I'd just pick up pick up now. The reaper challenge went according to plan we didn't finish it. But once we were waited on it only took maybe 15 to 20 minutes for the pizza to come out. Not too bad. The wings were great, the breadsticks. The thing is every time I've gone you have to wait about 5 to 10 minutes for a server. Which isn't bad I suppose but keep that in mind. Once you have a server tho service is excellent. I highly recommend this place and the taco pizza and deluxe are my favorites. They also do limited time offers such as meatloaf and spaghetti all kinds of things....
Read moreWe ordered a pizza, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We were there in 23 minutes, paid for it. Then the girl ask why my husband was just standing there...he wanted his pizza so we could go home and eat it..he was told they don't look at the time on the orders and they hadn't even started to make it yet! And this isn't the first time. We stopped eating in because you cant get waited on. We've spent 30 minutes countless times sitting in the restaurant waiting for someone to take our order. The waitress acknowledged we were there with "I'll get your drink orders in a minute". She just failed to tell us which minute she was talking about. And most of the time they haven't been that busy for us to wait that long. We love to patronize small businesses. That's the reason we waited 30 minutes or more to get waited on. But at some point when the service is bad time after time, you just need to go somewhere else. If I could have given a negative star I would have. Everytime we have tried to dine in or ordered to pick up it has been an ordeal. There are lots of places that are happy to have us dine in their...
