It's a Quaint little corner pub. Parking is on the main street. They had a sign on the front door requesting people to use the back entrance on the side of the building. When you walk in, you are initially unsure which door leads where. The door to get in is the first door on your right, but be careful as the door swings your way, and people leaving you will get hit. As soon as you walk through the door, you must wait to be seated. The staff is pleasant unless something is wrong with your food, then you might get some attitude. For example, I ordered their steak meal, which cost $36.00 for a 16-ounce prime rib and mashed potatoes, and I was informed that the vegetable was asparagus. First of all, it took forever to get the meal, and when I finally got my meal, it was cold. The mashed potatoes were bland and barely warm. I got Cold Caullieflower, and my steak was supposed to be cooked medium rare. It was raw, so it looked like it was thrown on and then flipped, and then served. I mentioned this to our server, and he told me what medium rare is and what it looks like, so I mentioned the other cold items, and he said, " Do you want me to take it away? Not can I get you something different or fix what's wrong, and I know what medium rare is. I did go to culinary school. For that price, I expect it to be at least fixed without the lip back. Our bill total came to $163.46 for three people. Yes! That included three beers and one mixed drink that was supposed to be 2 for $ 20.00 on the menu, but on the bill, it came to $ 22.00. My husband asked for his beer, and our waiter told him he could not order another beer until the one he had was down to 1/3. I have never in my life heard anyone say that. Also, just be aware if loud noises bother you or you want to be able to hold a conversation, then it may not be the right place for you. It was deafening, and everyone was trying to talk over other people. They do offer a minimal kid menu, but the noise may damper family time. I would go again, but I never will order the steak dinner again. It also won't be anytime soon. I need my purse to build up again. I hope this helps, and I hope you have a better first experience than my family and I had. Oh, and one cool thing is they do...
Read moreIndustry worker here so I know accurate reviews are everything. This place was a nice suprise. Off day at my kitchen so naturally I found myself looking for an irish pub and found Waterhorse just in time for first call. I'm picky as hell with Guinness and they had a perfect pour, 👌 10/10. I'm not a big fan of huge menus, but at the same time everything sounded awesome. I enjoyed the idea of a sampler for indecisive people like myself. Plenty of options all sounded tasty and I enjoyed reading through it all. We went with the fried Pickles. Highly suggest snacking on those. The horseradish aioli was perfect. I had to try their fish and chips, the scooped chips were perfectly seasoned and hearty. Fish was light and crispy, normally I go for a thick crispy beer batter but their lighter recipe was really good. Wasn't huge on the coleslaw, and the tartar was alright but I'm biased when it comes to my own stuff. It was perfectly fine and honestly I didn't realt need either side or sauce cuz that fish was perfect. My partner got the smash burger and fries. Also awesome. Can't go wrong with secret sauce and a smash patty. I particularly enjoyed the little details this place had too. The painting above the bar and general esthetic was just the type of vibe I love sitting in. The burger bun stamp was a nice touch. Our bartender was fast and friendly. I'd love to go back on a busy night to see how things keep up, I'm sure fine. It seems like a really awesome place to have around town. Next time I pass through we will for sure be back. From one chef to another; great job yall. 👏 snagged some stickers and will be telling people to go check out Waterhorse if they are in the area. Much love from Coopershill crew...
Read moreOverpriced Skimped on food - Salad inedible. So my mom and I stopped for lunch. Haven't tried this restaurant in town, so it's next on the list. No one else was eating. The matron / waitress was very kind and attentive, but not overly so. Just right. Kudos to her! Mom ordered a roll-up sandwich with well-done roast beef. I ordered a beet salad and carrot cake for dessert. The carrot cake saved the day, although it was $15. My beet salad was also about $15. For this size salad, you'd expect something large and delicious. The only thing that was large was the vinegar from the dressing. So pungent and sour. I had to take the greens home and rinse them to be edible. There were 4 or 5 SLICES of beets. Canned, I believe. Fresh ones are so much brighter. I kid you not there was the smallest bit of crumbled feta on the salad. No more than 2 teaspoons. In very small chucks. Feta isn't meant to be small, sprinkle, but crumble chunks. The only part I could eat was the beets. I'm not sure what was worth 15$, but if you want a great beet salad, I suggest the Red Blazer in Concord. 2.5 ingredient salad for $15 that's barely edible. I'm not impressed. The desert was 4 layer cake slice. Delicious. I imagine they buy it at a bakery and mark it up. But I don't know for sure. Total bill $51. The salad at Pizza Hut for $6 would've been better. It was clean and bright with high...
