It's abysmally bad. We came late Friday afternoon, the only ones in the restaurant. They were not rushed, I assure you. Overly ambitious menu. We ordered mozzarella sticks. Straight out of the frozen bag. We found out later the high point of the meal. Me, unsweetened tea, his, sweet tea. Mine was water. When you put our glasses side by side, his had brown color. Mine didn't. Moving forward. I ordered three pcs. of fried chicken with fries, a potential bargain at $8.99. It wasn't. First, the chicken has optional sides of mashed potatoes and slaw. Stupid me, I wanted to substitute the French fries for the mashed potatoes. NO CAN DO! "Boss man won't do ANY substitutions. You get fries, and you can add mashed potatoes " Knowing food costs, that's absurd. I assure you a scoop of instant mashed potatoes is MUCH cheaper to make than fries. Second mistake. I ordered the slaw. It looked revolting, but it didn't taste that good. Sickeningly sweet, sour, limp, and old, all at the same time. I get my "three pieces of chicken." But they aren't. One tiny leg, a part of a thigh, and about a quarter of a breast piece. All had been cooked hours before and thrown back in the fryer to heat. The only compliment I could pay was that it was hot. Dry, chewy, tasteless, devoid of marinade or seasoning. The breast was so tough and dry it was vulcanized. Inedible. I've never had fried chicken that bad. French fries were frozen french fries. Hard to screw those up. Ketchup bottle lid needed some hygiene. Husband had chicken parmesan. Consisting of a small disposable foil pan crammed with spaghetti, topped with a few cut-up chunks of very dry fried chicken, lightly sprinkled with tasteless marinara and sprinkled with cheese. A stale breadstick finished off his feast. He did get a decent dinner salad, waitress-assembled off the salad bar. It was one of the worst meals we've had in a long time. They've cleaned up the dining room. No complaints about the atmosphere. That won't make up for the food. In response to the owner's reply. I was already cowed by the server's response when I tried to do a simple substitution on my order. She made it VERY clear, in no uncertain terms "Boss man" didn't allow any flexibility. Offering mashed potatoes at an added charge to a plate that HAD to have French fries is absurd. And if that chicken was "freshly prepared to order", I suggest you change your recipe, supplier,...

Tl;dr : absolutely fantastic pizza and noodles

We had the buffet at Frankston House today for lunch. It was delicious. They had fried fish, fries(I think), gravy, mashed potatoes, (maybe fried chicken?), a salad bar, pizza, spaghetti, and alfredo. I didn't try anything but the pizza and noodles this time but they were absolutely delicious. The pizza is excellent. The crust is akin to Schlotzsky's pizza crust, I think it may be sourdough based? Either way, it is tender, light, airy, and perfectly crispy on the bottom. The sauce and toppings were great. The alfredo was absolutely the best that I've had from a buffet, anywhere. It had a lot of flavor and wasn't dry like buffet noodles so often are. The spaghetti was good too. Overall, we were super impressed. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and she answered all of my billions of questions without a hitch.

Their buffet is available through lunch until 2PM, and at 2PM, they close to clean up and get ready for dinner to reopen at 4. Dinner is order-off-the-menu rather than buffet and we haven't tried that yet but...

Don't order from these people or slice! They will deliver your food to the wrong address and then won't refund you or give you your food. They stole my money!

Update: I was able to get my food after 4 hours with help from the manager Kelly (who was very nice). She said it would be there in 20 - 30 mins, but it took ANOTHER hour and a half to get to me and the chicken was overdone and not what I ordered. 4 hours total! The lady that I talked to before Kelly tried to accuse me of already getting my food and was extremely rude and clearly didn't care. I did also receive a refund today after 6 days of waiting for it. There needs to be a serious overhaul of staff training at that restaurant as well as never using slice for delivery again. Slice was even worse and unsympathetic when trying to get help. The whole thing was an insane nightmare trying to order food from them, and I will never...

We had our first visit to Frankston House for Easter lunch after church at First Baptist Church Frankston, and it absolutely delivered! We went with the buffet and were blown away – a fresh salad bar, tasty pizza bar, crispy chicken strips, golden fries, two pasta options, and let me tell you, those five-star fried fries were unforgettable. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the food came out hot and fresh. Located right off 870 N Frankston Hwy, this place is a local gem. Whether you're dining in or getting it delivered, you're in for a treat. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
