El Asador Restaurant — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

Asked for fruit salad juice which typically has 4 or more types of chopped fresh fruits and is served with a lot of it… Server brings it and I asked her where is the fruit? She said this is the way we make it. So I tasted hoping that the flavor was good, but is tastes so disgusting like a very old fruit drink. So I did not drink it. I ordered this sea food soup not only did not have what a Mariacada typically has but didn’t have what their picture shows it has but they served with teaspoon. I asked him for a table spoon and a guy brought me a big serving spoon… They sell different types of soup but don’t have table spoons and I felt he sarcastically and disrespectfully brought me the serving spoon… We finish eating while I went to wash my hands my friend paid and they had charges him my the drink I complained from the beginning and has not consumed… I asked to original waitress and she said “ you asked for it you pay” she said she told the guy sho charged my fiend ama to talk to him and went I told him the mean way ahe spoke to me he said “ she is the owner and she can talks to you the way she wants “ I told him that’s not true and he insisted and went off. I told him that was my last time there and that I will write a bad review and he said I am sure she ( the owner) will be very happy you don’t come back and we don’t care about you writing a bad reverse and went off… I never take the time to do reviews I think thisy first one ever and I been in US for over 30 years, But this time I have to . Stopped in with my wife today on a whim. The restaurant offers indoor and shaded outdoor options; we chose indoor dining. We received our menus and turned our attention to the reasonably priced a la carte type items, such as tacos, tamales, and pupusas (my personal favorite). The server brought out a basket of fresh hot tortilla chips and outstanding salsa to have while we decided on our order. Once our order was placed, it did not come quickly, but it was so worth the wait. The food was freshly made from scratch and authentic. Outstanding! I regret not taking advantage of the "food mode" in my phone's camera to show you the beautiful meals our server brought out to us. In particular, I love the pupusas, which have just the right amount of crispiness. I'm big on carmelization and char, and El Asador totally nails it. I could go on and on, but, suffice it to say, I whole-heartedly recommend El Asador. It has the feel of a "Mom & Pop" restaurant, and the food is delicious and authentic. For my wife and I to completely pig out, we spent $28. Compare that to $80 for dinner for out last trip to...

I am an Uber driver and After a 12 hours shift I end up in Fredericksburg and I was so hungry and need it something to eat. So I search for a Mexican restaurant and I founded “El Asador” My self been latino I know about Spanish food. I eat it all the time. I called to see if they where busy so I can put a reservation in and they told me that I didn’t need one, so I drove about 15 minutes to the restauran and they where busy so I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated and I am glad I did. I requested the Carne Azada and it was delicious, after I talked to Alexa ( My server) I realized that the are actually changing ownership and also menus, I am exited to keep coming to the restauran. I live in Alexandria VA and I will make the drive to eat here, I told my family that I found a really great restauran to treat our selves. Also prices are very affordable. If you really looking for a good way to indulge your self in a good Mexican-Salvadorean Restaurant this is the place to come. Pupusas are very good here I took some tog, I recommend the frijoles con queso or the chicharron mmm! 😋. Así que busqué un restaurante mexicano y encontré "El Asador". Yo soy latino y sé de comida Mexicana y Salvadoreña , por que la como todo el tiempo. Llamé para ver si estaban ocupados para poder hacer una reservación y me dijeron que no necesitaba una, así que conduje unos 15 minutos hasta el restaurante y estaban ocupados, así que tuve que esperar unos 20 minutos para que me dieran una mesa, después de ordenar tube que esperar otros 20 minutos para que cocinaran la comida y me alegro de haberlo hecho. Ordené la Carne Azada y estaba deliciosa, después de hablar con mi mesera me di cuenta de que en realidad están cambiando de propietario y también de menús, estoy emocionado de seguir viniendo al restaurante. Vivo en Alexandria VA y haré el viaje para comer aquí, le dije a mi familia que encontré un gran restaurante para darnos un gusto. Además los precios son muy asequibles. Si realmente estás buscando una buena manera de disfrutar de un buen restaurante mexicano-salvadoreño, este es el lugar para venir. Las pupusas son muy buenas aqui tome unas para llevar, recomiendo las de frijoles con queso o el chicharron mmm! 😋.
