Roma Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

Tonight I decided to stray from my normal sub restaurant and try this place. I had gotten a menu in the mail that included a coupon for two 10” subs, fries and can sodas for $22. So I ordered my meal to those specifications. When I went to pick up my food I advised the lady behind the counter that I would like to use that coupon and she said that she had applied it. She then told me that my total was $27 and change. I hesitated and she very quickly told me that the meals tax in Spotsylvania county is 10%. I then advised her that I had literally just been at a Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors meeting last night where the board was considering raising the meals tax from 4% to 5.5% for fiscal year 2022. The current meals tax rate in Spotsylvania County is 4%. Sales tax in Spotsylvania is 5.3%. The meal should have been approximately $24, all taxes included. At this point I had already handed her my card and she began clicking around her computer frantically, as she could tell that I knew what she was saying was incorrect. She then became very agitated and pulled out a piece of paper from an envelope telling me that they get “audited” by the tax board and that the meals tax is 10%. She showed me a county meals tax document and pointed to the section labeled “late penalty”, which requires a business “add 10%” and she represented to me that this meant the meals tax is 10%. I again called her out on this blatant misrepresentation. Before she could run my card I took it back and left without my food. She advised me I wasn’t welcome back, however she need not worry. Placed an order for take out by walking in at store and I was told 20 mins wait time which is absolutely fine. I checked on order after about 25 mins and was told to wait few more mins, it was ok. Went to check order again at 45 mins mark and still I was told to wait few more mins it was fine with me but I have just politely asked to this wonderful young lady cashier if everything was fine? Why making just 2 pizza is taking such a long time to which she rolled her eyes with attitude and replied, we had many order before you and you have to wait more ok sir. Ok? She could have said same thing in nice way as I was patient and asked this question politey in friendly manner. It looks like she got irritated as I interrupted her texting which was going on since ages.Now this wass becoming unprofessional with such rude response. I had paid for the food and already waited more than double the estimated time which I was told at beginning and still got this negative treatment? Very unprofessional and rude customer service. Got food after ONE hour and 10 mins with same attitude looks on her face. And food itself was just under average. Pizza were undercooked and tasted so bad. Such a waste of time and money. 9/26/2020 My company orders lunch from this place almost every Saturday for as long as I can remember. We order from here often because they offer Halal steak and chicken. Sometimes we do pick up, other times they deliver. Either way, I would say maybe 1 out of 10 times, our order is correct. When you call to let them know, the woman who answers the phone 90% of the time has terrible customer service and is ALWAYS rude. She never apologizes, they never offer to compensate for their mistakes and sometimes, that rude young lady will even blame the customer. You would think with all the money we spend there weekly, that you would at least get decent customer service. The food is good (most of the time) but the customer service...
