The place was clean inside and out including the restroom. The staff were attentive and polite. The Moussaka was very good as was the spiced squash side dish The liver & onion entree had a bacon topping which I would leave off. The liver itself was ok at best but had a lot of gristle. I would opt for a different dish next time. The baked sweet potato was either from the previous day or seriously over cooked. Creamy whipped potatoes with gray was very good. The bread/butter served with the meal was good and they get Xtra appreciation for serving the butter warm/soft so you can actually spread it! Even though the meal was a bit expensive we would come back and try other items from the large diner type menu. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undescriptive terms like OMG, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.

We read so many positive reviews in our local foodie group over the past year and decided to visit Jimmy the Greek on a Sunday morning, arriving before the church crowd…. We got there pretty early and they were still very busy when we arrived and by the time we left, they were nearly packed. If you remember the Paradise Diner on Rt17 several years ago before they sold to the current owners, Jimmy used to own that, so much of the style here is similar to that place back then. The service we received was friendly and really good! The place is nice, neat and looks like it’s newer. They have a bar inside, with alcohol. They have a really nice breakfast menu, but their lunch menu looks amazing too, so I look forward to going back for lunch! Their biscuits and gravy were awesome! The sausage gravy was excellent and had lots of nice flavor and the biscuits are so very good and fluffy! Their breakfast potatoes are also great and loaded with flavors, as they have onions and green peppers in them. The chipped beef was good, even though this is typically a “bland” dish, as there’s not much going on in it, they do a nice job and I liked the flavor a lot. Overall – This was an excellent breakfast, I’ll be back!!

I never had that cheese on fire thing on the menu but boy, am I glad I tried it! I loved the chat flavor and the cheese flavors and how they melded together. Couldn't believe they actually had okra on the menu so I took advantage of that offering, served in a tomatoe-y sauce with onions. The eggplant moussaka was hearty and tasty. The sauce made the ground beef, eggplant and other flavors come together perfectly. But wait! There's more! Dorothy, our server, was like no one ever. I was still working on my salad and the table was getting crowded with everyone's orders so she offered to keep my lunch warm while I finished my salad. This offer is the most impressive offer ever. No one has ever done that for me. And I felt it was a very welcoming and warm thing to do. Service was bar none. We brought desserts home- lemon meringue pie, some chocolate thing with cream. All good. Go for the service. Stay for the food.

Although there is seldom not a short wait for a table on Sunday mornings, the servers and their helpers are incredibly quick to clear and reset tables, so we've never waited more than a few minutes. Drinks and orders taken are equally quick and always spot-on accurate. The kitchen is obviously very well managed, as your food arrives hot and always correct! Their sausage gravy is very hearty, with plenty of meat in it, and the omelets are loaded with whatever combination of fillers you ordered. I'm normally not a fan of restaurant grits, but Jimmy's are unique; very creamy and thicker than the watered-down version other places serve, and an excellent compliment to the perfect, over medium eggs that I always get. My wife loves their enormous Belgian waffles! And let's not pass up the baklava, chocolate torte and countless other fresh made desserts that lure you to linger with that last cup of coffee! A truly great...
